Can you wall mount playbar flush to tv?

Hi all I'm about to wall mount my playbar underneath the TV. Due to the design of the wall mount cables are not easily concealed. In the mounting instructions it recommends to leave 1" of space between the bottom of the tv and the playbar. My question is, is there a potential issue in mounting it flush to the tv? I have an LED tv, and by mounting the playbar flush to the tv the cables would be concealed behind the tv. Will the speaker interfere or damage the tv in any way? Magnetic field for example? Thx

Playbar connects alone, after turning off the tv

Hello, The Playbar I have connected to the TV and works perfectly when I connect the TV. The problem comes when I turn off the TV, after a few minutes it activates again and starts to play the music I have in the "Music library". It always happens. How can I prevent it from automatically activating after closing the TV? Greetings, Luis

Playbar Night Mode time schedule

Hi, Is there any plan to put time schedule for night mode in playbar? I'm using the sonos sub with the playbar, and if I forgot where I put iphone while turning on the tv, it's waking up my kids! the feature is useful but rubbish due to no smart setting (time schedule of mapping in logitech harmony remote)

Rear

So I got two second hand play 5s at $400 each That's about $300 USD Very happy but I can't use them as rear speakers on the play bar. So first world problem do I remove the rear play 1s and loose 5.1 surround sound but pair the play 5s and run them along side ( togeather ) with the play bar( would loose 5.1 )

New DISH remote and soundbari

I had to configure a new DISH network remote to my existing soundbar. The soundbar responds to the VOL + signal and increases the volume but does not recognize the VOL - . I can only decrease the sound by manually pressing the button on my soundbar.The old DISH remote worked fine ( until it broke and I had to get this new one). What is going on?

Playbar & Sub With Sky HD Setup

I have a Playbar & Sub with Samsung Tv (it doesn't pass through digital audio) connected to the Playbar optical input. Sky HD, Bluray DVD and Apple TV all connected to the TV by HDMI's. All Audio In received by the Playbar is Stereo but I'm looking to get the best audio possible and aiming for DD 5.1 assuming that will improve the audio quality for my set up? I'm not looking to add Play 1's as rear speakers at least not in the foreseeable. I've played around with the digital optical plugging Sky directly into the Playbar and get differing results depending on the audio format of the programme being broadcast. In cases where DD 5.1 is received by the Playbar all is good, however, when Stereo or DD 2.0 is received the audio is out of sync with the TV. I have ordered a dual optical in switch with single out to connect the TV and Sky to the Playbar but given the syncing issues I wonder whether it's worth it and indeed whether the audio will be noticeably improved for my current se

SONY BRAVIA KDL-40XBR3 (2007 MODEL) PLAYBAR INCOMPATIBLE?

Hello, I recently purchased a Sonos Playbar and I am unable to get sound from my SONY BRAVIA KDL-40XBR3 (2007 MODEL.) This television features a digital output and I have disabled the speakers but there is still no sound. As a test, I connected the Playbar to a newer Sony TV and it worked perfectly. I have recently purchased a play bar expecting to pair two play 5 (1st gen) to it, only to find out they are too old. I could not find any information telling me when I bought the play bar that they would not pair with the older play 5.

analogue input in surround setup

My Connect:amp power a set of hifi speakers and I use this to play the cd player and turntable that are connected to the analogue input of the connect:amp. Now that I invested in a Playbar/Sub for the TV on the other side of the room I can use my bookshelf speakers and the Connect:amp to provide the 5.1 surround and it works a real treat ! However when I do that I can't use the analogue input anymore.Turning the surround on/off every time I play a CD is quite painful as you need to do if through the support web page and surely not something my girlfriend will ever do if she uses the turntable... I can think of a few options but they sound a bit overkil for such a simple thing, what do you think ? - purchase a Connect to have another analogue input and never use the one on the Connect:amp anymore - purchase a pair of play 1 to do the surround and keep the connect:amp as it was before - wait for Sonos to implement of way of using the analogue input in a surround setup Tha

Problem: Playbar Frozen with no sound

Not sure if anyone had this problem before. I did a search and didn't find anything similar. My Playbar connect to my TV using optical cable. It also connects to my router that thus goes to the Internet. Was working fine for last 2 years. Suddenly a few days ago, it stop making sound. A few observations. the side light is white. The network ports lights are also solid (instead of the usual flashing seen on PCs) I powered it down by unplugging it. And then powering back on. White light solid on the side. No sound. Network port's lights also solid. Can't connect to the Playbar by the app. (all internet is working fine) Tried power down. Then holding the mute button while puting power on for factory reset. Held for a minute. No luck. Solid white light, no sound, network ports in solid light.. I tried another factory reset method by power down. Then power on holding the mute button AND the "volume up" button to try another factory reset. Again No luck. Solid white light, no so

Surround Setup Error

I have a Playbar and 2 Play 1's. When I am trying to set up surround, I am getting the following message:- Surround Setup Error - There was a problem adding the surround speaker. Please make sure the surround speaker and PLAYBAR are connected to power. The Play 1's have a constant white light. I have changed the wireless channels and tried 1-6-11 and am getting the same messages. I ran a diagnostics and code is 6976901. Any help would be much appreciated

Rear surround placement advice

I'm planning to use two Play 1s for my rear surround speakers but my room doesn't have a convenient way to place each speaker the same distance from the viewing position. The easiest setup would have the right rear located 6 feet behind the viewing position at a 45 degree angle (slightly elevated) and the left rear almost directly behind the viewing position. Does anyone have any experience with this? Would this arrangement totally compromise the surround experience.? Thank you!

Recommendations for setup and remote

Looking for help with home theater and remote setup. I have a Samsung UN70KU6300 70-Inch 4K Ultra HD Smart LED TV (2016 Model), Amazon Fire TV, Sony Blueray player, and SONOS soundbar and two play 1s. Currently, all components are hooked up to tv directly. Most of the time we use the Fire TV and its remote - use of the Blueray player minimal. What is the best setup and is our only remote option the Sony Blueray player remote? I tried following instructions to use the Samsung TV remote, but it only seems to control soundbar volume when using the Blueray player and not the Fire TV

Playbar volume levels

The volume on my Playbar needs to be turned up to 90%+ when watching tv or streaming music via Apple TV, but when playing music via the iPad/app, it is then way too loud and needs to be turned down to 20%. Is there a way to balance these volume levels? I would like the tv to play at 20% rather than having it turned up so high. Thank you

Do You Turn Up Surround Sound Speakers?

Do you guys turn up the Surround Sound speakers when using with a 5.1 setup? This is for watching movies and TV (not music). It's currently set to the "middle" option in Advanced Settings but sometimes it seems a bit low...I'd like to raise it a little bit but still want balanced sound. Let me know if you turn it up and if you do how many "clicks" up from the middle option do you set it? Thanks!
