I have an arc and bonded amp surround speakers. Works well for movies but I would prefer to only have the amp surround speakers playing full music. I don’t like the way the arc sounds with music. Can Sonos please add an option to disable arc during music playback so the amp can be the only speakers for music? Otherwise the system works well with TV.
Am I right I understanding that there is a long standing problem with LG TVs and the Playbar when it comes to lip sync? The last time I checked on this there was no fix and LG were unlikely to do anything about it. Does anyone had any recommendations on TVs that you are using that have good lip sync?
I have a Grundig VLX 707 tv which has a HDMI-ARC port.I had everything setup and working but after a power outage my sonos amp cant connect to my TV.CEC is enabeled on my TV but it keeps on saying CEC not connected.I factory resetted my TV but the problem is stil there,I changed HDMI cabels, with nothing connected it says ARC nog connected. But the next step keeps on saying CEC not connected
I bought the playbar,2 play 1 speakers and the sub almost 2 years ago,I noticed a few weeks ago that the sub is no longer connected to the rest of the speakers,it was blinking red and white,I went to all the troubleshooting recommended and nothing,I called sonos support twice and they were not able to fix anything, they offered to replace the sub since I'm out of warranty but they want 425$...plus my cost of shipping...and a new gen 3 sub is 700$...any other way to fix or any advice is more than welcome
Hey,I currently have a Beam Gen 2 and 2x One SL as Surrounds but don’t have a TV or anything connected to it. I only use it for music via Airplay. My Beam sits on my desk and behind where I sit is my bed, where I placed the Ones left and right of it for a surround setup. Now I’m thinking of adding a stereo pair to my desk (on either side of the Beam) because i want more stereo sound comming from the desk when I’m laying in bed or even if I sit on my desk. The options are of course a One Stereo Pair or one with 2x Fives, but I think the Fives would be to much for that. (I’ve also considered if I’m going five to put them as surrounds one the place of the ones and to put the ones to my desk at the front)Whats your thought on that or do you have any recommendations for me?Thanks and sincerely
Hi all , twice now I've had jittery audio sound from my beam 2 lasts about 5 seconds , only when playing TV programs that have been downloaded on my sky HD box , rewind a bit and there's no jittering ! Watched TV all day yesterday with beam on and not an issue , connected via HDMI , I can't even pinpoint when it will do it , just randomly but weird how the 2 times it's been when watching a recorded show on sky box ?
Hi Together, Before posting this question i seaarched the forum but did not find the correct answer, so might be a repost but please go through it and suggest me. I bought a Sonos Playbase, currently i have a Benq projector which is connected to Apple 4K TV (box), so not using any TV. When i tried to setup the Playbase, i am not able to do it, because, as i understood, i should also connect the Optical cable to some TV, otherwise i can not setup the Playbase. As i dont have the TV, i am not ablr to do it at the moment. If i buy a Coaxial to Optical switch/convertor, is it possible to setup my playbase without having a TV?.
Hi I am newbie to sonos family. I have a lg oled tv. And i have recently purchase -sonos arc for lcrsonos subsonos amp with two klipsch ceiling speakers 1. Can i setup my ceiling speakers as surround to be used with TV? how to do this? Will there be a lag in surround speakers if it is connected to arc wirelessly? if i play music in my living room, will arc and sub and speakers play together and work perfectly? Or by setting them as surround i cant enjoy the music? someone mentioned to me sonos sub isnt compatible with ceiling speakers even if connected via sonos amp. Whats the practical implication of this if this is correct? If i am okay always playing arc and sub and amp together, am i really losing out on something?thanks a lot
Still getting sound dropouts that last a few seconds on most platforms now!!BBC iplayer, Netflix, Disney etc and even standard TV!!I have a Beam 2 with 2 One SL’s for surround and a new Panasonic OLED, tried all the mentioned plug/unplug, restart PCM etc.Always had Sonos kit but this is really starting to get annoying as no fix seems to be mentioned yet??Please help!
I am mounting a frame/art tv above the mantle and I don’t want to look at a speaker beneath it, I’d like to have two matching sonos speakers on the right and left. I already have one beam, i love the shape of it. Ideally I’d like to know if it’s possible to connect two sound Beam bars to one television to create right and left channels. If not, can two beam speakers connect to make *balanced* sound on the right and left of the tv, connected with a split optical cable (or other solution?). I know I can *add* Sonos speakers to the tv if one is hardwired, but I want them both to be connected to the tv automatically. I have read mixed reviews on connecting the speakers to the tv with HDMI cable. Either way if the two are hardwired to the tv, a splitter would be needed (I assume?)I don’t want a middle channel/speaker as I don’t have anywhere to put it. An amp or woofer would be fine if that’s absolutely necessary. Thanks for your help and ideas!
I have sony bravis connected to playbar. worked fine until I disconnected playbar to dust it. reconnected but no sound. yes I switched to audio system. Tried all the on line fixes but no luck. Could there be a fault in the tv? playbar works when I stream windows media player trhough it.
Hi, I can’t get DD to work on my Beam and SL’s via my firestick the app just shows its stereo, I set the the audio on the firestick to DD but it cuts the sound out, I can’t change the settings on the tv as they are greyed out apart from PCM, I get DD 2.0 via freeview (UK) am I doing something wrong or could it be the tv which is about 5 years old. Thanks
Hi. For a few years i have had 2 play:1 connected to my playbase, but for some reason they have disconnected and I cannot get them to connect again. When trying it says "could not connect check power and network" or something. I have my playbase connected via ethernet and all other devices via WiFi.I have disconnected and reseted the play:1s with no succyWhat can I do? Everything else works great. I did create a Diagnostics, the number is 1896294353
I have a Play 3 and just purchased a Beam. The Beam works with the TV. The problem is the radio. it works when ‘Group’ed with the Play 3 BUT not all the time! I have gotten it to work on it’s own ungroup’ed playing the radio but only once or twice briefly before connection dropped and it says ‘Unable to connect to Sonos product’. Most of the time when I try to play the radio on the Beam it is unable to connect to Sonos product. Currently both products are in same room, close to router, but my plan is to move the Play 3 but I need to get Beam working properly first. I am guessing the problem is not the Beam but maybe wifi or router related? Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks
The problem I am experiencing is that sometimes the sound emanating from the Beam is garbled; i.e., it sounds as if the person speaking is talking underwater. This happens randomly and generally only last for anywhere from a minute to as long as three our four minutes. I exclusively use the Beam for tv playback and have it paired with two Sonos speakers.
What is required to have Apple TV 4th generation use Sonos system for sound. Sonos is not being recognized by Apple TV as an option. Apple TV Tech Support has NO CLUE. And Sonos documentation only talks about remote pairing. I want sound to come through Sonos Playbar, sub and Play 3s’. It’s not that complicated of a question but neither seems to address it.Thanks for any HELP!
Hello all. My Play One rears have started fairly regularly echoing on TV playback after more than two years of ownership. I have changed nothing in terms of hardware: same Playbase, same Sony 4K Android TV, same BT Home Hub 6 and BT TV 4K PVR. I am 100% certain it's not the TV speakers kicking in as when I turn the surrounds off through the app, the echoing stops and doesn't return when I turn surrounds back on. Then, after a short while which could be minutes, hours or even days, the echoing will occur again. Any help would be appreciated. Regards. Barry ☺️
