I recently purchased a SAMSUNG - 8K QE65Q700TATXXU. I’ve connected it directly with an optical cable to my Sonos Playbar which has two one speakers as rears (gen2).I’m experiencing very slight lip sync issues when using Netflix and Prime through Sky Q - has anyone else experienced this? I’m not sure if this is something that can be resolved quite simply by adjusting some settings. Any feedback would be appreciated. TV is up to date and about 2 weeks old.
I have a playbar, gen3 sub and 2 one sl set up as a surround sound in my living room. I loved is and the gen 3 sub is very powerful and just how i like it. So i bought the arc, gen 3, and 2 more one sl to put in my man cave. I figured it would be amazing in the smaller room but the sub sounds weak and nothing like the same sub in the living room. What could be wrong
I was told by sonos support that arc requires 2.4 g wifi (approx 90 mbs) and will not work on 5g. Does that mean that my TCL TV needs to also be on 2.4g, i.e. the same wireless network.if so, this seems like a major limitation, since the TV supports 5g.(approx 400 mbs). I understand 5g is better for 4K streaming, etc. Please let me know if Im missing something.
I have Sonos Arc, Sub Gen 3 and 2x SL for surround sound. I have just upgraded from a playbar to an Arc, connected via hdmi to a Sony 65ag8 oled tv.Since conecting this, I find that my tv is turned off (from standby) overnight. If I unplug the ARC, the tv stays in standby.I have checked all the settings on the tv and arc, but can't find anything about switching off overnight.Anyone else found this, or can offer a solution
I after owning a play bar for 4 months i returned it to aquire the Sonos Arc. I have to set up with 2 sonos ones as surround. I would like to experience the atmos feature but my tv and dvd player dont support it even though thay have a hdmi 2.0 arc connection its an early version. I cant afford to spend more money yet so im looking to find out if i have exhausted all options. i have tried : Tv Pc dvd player Ps4 and streaming Amazon music UHD which is supposed to play atmos but doesnt. When i try to stream tidel atmos to the arc it switches to hifi and skips tracks. Any help appreciated
Well, I'm not sure if I'm just lucky, or not. I got a Sonos arc, + a pair of one sl's. Grouped them together. Added the amp, and connected my subs to the RCA output. Working just lovely. No delays, no lip sync issues, nothing. Yes, I do need to adjust the level periodically, depending on content and hardware. I get full atmos thru my panasonic JZ 2000 OLED. I must say, the sound is simply stunning. I see why Sonos has the following that it does. Thanks!
hello my playbar and sub worked great until I added (2) ONE SL speakers for surround. now the playbar, sub, and ONE’s work/sound great for a few minutes (varies) and then the audio from the playbar cuts out but the surrounds/sub continue just fine. the audio may return to the left/right channels of the playbar but never the center dialogue channel. help? thanks
I’ve been using SONOs products for the past year, and never had any problem with them playing music. However, I could never connect via Bluetooth to my Sony Bravia TV (2020, 65-inch - Model # KD-65KX75CH) so I bought an ARC this past month. I connected the HDMI directly into it, and … It wasn’t the miracle home theater experience I was looking for. PROBLEM:* The sound constantly cuts out every 30 seconds for a brief second (noticeable)* When turning audio up/down via my SONOs app or the remote control there’s also a blip in the soundREMEDY:* ?IS THIS:* A Google App/SONOs issue?* Do I have to play with my settings somehow? Thanks in advance for any suggestions or solutions.
All,I have a problem when watching Two and a Half Men on Amazon. I am using 2 Sonos AMP with in-ceiling speakers set up as surround. The show plays in Dolby 2.0 and there is an echo when people are talking. It goes away if I switch off surround. It also goes away when playing the show on Apple TV which I have set up to upscale audio to Dolby 5.1. My tv is an LG GX. Any ideas?
I am interested in purchasing a new Sonos Arc soundbar. Current I am using an Onkyo TX-NR686 receiver which has all my components (Rogers TV modem, Apple TV and X-Box). This is connected to my LG OLED 65C8PUA through the tv and Onkyo HDMI ARC connection. My question therefore is how to connect everything to a Sonos Arc.Would I be able to keep everything plugged into the receiver as it is now and then plug into the sonos somehow or,Could I plug all the components into the tv by hdmi and save the HDMI ARC connection for the connection from the tv to the Sonos Arc?I really have no idea if this is making sense to anyone including myself so I hand it over to you fine people to hopefully understand and advise me.I am new here and appreciate the fact that there is a forum here and good people to draw help from!Cheers,Steve
Good Day,Have an intermittent issue with momentary audio blips from NVidia Shield 2019 Pro - Plex, Netflix, Prime etc. Setup is LG OLED B8, Monoprice HDMI cables, Arc. Previously had exactly the same issue with a Playbar. This happens once in maybe 10 mins, and is a blip - milliseconds. All is via TV apps, but they are poor in comparison to the Shield. As far as I can tell everything is up to date. Any assistance appreciated.
Hi! I am designing a new cinema / sport room set-up as part of a major renovation. I have a 65” LG OLED being recess / flush mounted above a 100cm bioethanol fire. I have rear ceiling speakers and a sub to connect as well. My question is - Sonos Arc surface mounted below the TV OR in wall hidden speakers below the TV? I am worried that a surface mounted Arc will look stuck on the wall and ruin the design. Recessed amp powered speakers will look smarter, but will they give good sound quality? Thanks!
Hey everyone,I purchased Two Sonos 1, Arc and Gen 3 Sub. I connected everything to work as surround system.I noticed that playing music from just the two Sonos 1’s sounds better than the surround. Is there an easy way to decide from where I want to play music? Thanks
Hi Together, Before posting this question i seaarched the forum but did not find the correct answer, so might be a repost but please go through it and suggest me. I bought a Sonos Playbase, currently i have a Benq projector which is connected to Apple 4K TV (box), so not using any TV. When i tried to setup the Playbase, i am not able to do it, because, as i understood, i should also connect the Optical cable to some TV, otherwise i can not setup the Playbase. As i dont have the TV, i am not ablr to do it at the moment. If i buy a Coaxial to Optical switch/convertor, is it possible to setup my playbase without having a TV?.
I have a sonos beam connect to my TV via the HDMI ARC cable and two surround speakers Play 1’sThe rear speakers are much louder than the Beam when listening to music but adjusting the volume just increases the surround speakers level but if I turn the volume down all I can hear is the rear speakers and nothing from the beamAny idea what adjustment I need to make please
Hello all, now ive got the beam2 to play dts from disc’s, i would like to use a hdmi splitter/switch to do the following…..Firstly i have my LG CX tv connected to the beam via earc hdmi (atmos)Then the panasonic ub820 player connected to the tv via hdmi Now that i can get the beam to do dts via the optical out on the pan converted to the hdmi adaptor into the beam. I was wondering if i can use a hdmi splitter, rather than pulling them in and out when a want to spin one of me old a dts films? Because the single hdmi port will start to loosen otherwise. If i can what is the specs im looking for? as it has to support atmos. BTW I have to do this because the LG CX doesn’t support DTS, and have to use the optical out on the player to get this. Thanks m
Hello SONOS community,I have a BEAM Gen2 w/ S2 app, Sub Gen3, Apple TV 4K (first generation), and a Sharp LE832 42” TV.I have tried connecting the BEAM to the TV’s ARC and messed around with the TV’s audio settings. At best, I can get Stereo PCM when connected in this way. If I ‘force’ the ATV to use Dolby Digital 5.1 output, this configuration does not produce any sound.I have invested in an HDMI splitter and connection via digital optical out DOES give me Dolby Digital 5.1 (again, when forced from ATV). For sure, a first world problem, but I would like to take advantage of ARC but I am beginning to think I am resigned to accept that my TV’s ARC does not carry a compatible Dolby signal. I realize a simple solution would be to buy a new TV, but I am hoping to hold out a bit longer.I appreciate any observations/suggestions.Thank you.
Hello everyone.i have a question about how to connect my Sonos beam to the TV and to my PC, if it’s possible at all.So right now my beam connected only to the TV, and the PC to the TV. And when i want to listen to music from the PC i have to turn the TV too.is it possible somehow connect the PC to the sound bar so I won’t need to turn the TV on?
The problem I am experiencing is that sometimes the sound emanating from the Beam is garbled; i.e., it sounds as if the person speaking is talking underwater. This happens randomly and generally only last for anywhere from a minute to as long as three our four minutes. I exclusively use the Beam for tv playback and have it paired with two Sonos speakers.
