I've been having this issue With my setup I have the Sonos beam the two speakers for surround sound and the sub gen 3. every time when I watch the Venom movie both of them it likes to pop the first Venom movie when Venom is introduced and he gets up and fixes Eddie's body and he says eyes lungs and pancreas I think that's what he says when he says eyes at pops. and I've tried everything and a lot of people are having this issue but nobody can figure it out as far as I can tell then I realized I only had the Sonos beam and it doesn't support Dolby Atmos so I'm like okay I wanted to upgrade my system so I bought the Sonos Arc and it's a hell of a lot different that's for sure but it still Pops at the exact same time now it doesn't happened with all my other movies is like once in a while it does it but that's all so if anybody can help me out that would be great. I did submit a Diagnostics the number is 50441408 . So I don't know if it's just the heavy bass or what
Hi all, So I purchased the LG OLED55GX and was really keen to set it up. However, I'm gutted that it's currently not connecting to my Sonos arc. The cables are plugged in to the correct slot (E-Arc). On the TV, it says that nothing is plugged into the second HDMI port. On the app when I go to setup, it says HDMI arc not detected. Has anybody experienced this and come across a fix? Many thanks, Adam
So I'm considering ditching my Sonos Sub. Without TruePlay it sounds like mud in my room (thank you Sonos for not facilitating TruePlay on Sub without a soundbar, more money down the drain).I'll probably get a high quality, 12 inch subwoofer and connect to the Amp's subwoofer out.If I do this, what kind of control will I have in the app as compared to Sonos Sub? Will I still have crossover setting? Sub volume?
Hello, I have a Sonos Beam connected to a Samsung Series 8 through optical. Recently we have found that anytime we are streaming something on our Firestick (ie Netflix, Disney+), the audio will stop intermittently for a second or two and then resume. This occurs every hour or two. I am not sure why this is occurring, as we have everything connected correctly that I am aware of and streaming with internet capability up to 1000 mbps.
1st post so apologies if this has been answered. I have a Samsung TV that had no Arc on the rear. I have bought a cable to give me optical out to HDMI. The Amp is out of site of the TV and any IR signal from the remote. Music working perfect but not TV sound control. My Tv does not allow me to turn sound up if I put the TV speakers to external as per App instructions. Is there a way around this or is the TV just not up to it? The only option I can think is turn TV volume down and use the app for control. Thanks in advance
Hi, I’ve just changed from 2 x Play 1’s to Play 3’s with a sound bar. I’ve paired them to act as a pair and connected to the sound bar. The sound at works fine but there no audio coming out the play 3’s. They all work fine when playing music from Spotify as a complete system but nothing when connected to the TV audio. Any ideas? As I say this was all working fine with the play 1’s.
Hello all, now ive got the beam2 to play dts from disc’s, i would like to use a hdmi splitter/switch to do the following…..Firstly i have my LG CX tv connected to the beam via earc hdmi (atmos)Then the panasonic ub820 player connected to the tv via hdmi Now that i can get the beam to do dts via the optical out on the pan converted to the hdmi adaptor into the beam. I was wondering if i can use a hdmi splitter, rather than pulling them in and out when a want to spin one of me old a dts films? Because the single hdmi port will start to loosen otherwise. If i can what is the specs im looking for? as it has to support atmos. BTW I have to do this because the LG CX doesn’t support DTS, and have to use the optical out on the player to get this. Thanks m
I have an eArc TV with 3 HDMI input to it with a eArc receiver, and 5.1 surround from it. All of this is tucked away in an AV cabinet with a single HDMI in-wall cable between connected to the wall mounted TV. I’d like to replace my 5.1 receiver & speakers with the Arc + Sub + Play for surround. I am wondering how to best connect my 3 HDMI video sources to the TV + Arc without running 3 HDMI cables in the wall between the AV cabinet and the TV. Is HDMI splitter the only way ? Any recommendations ?
Good day everyone, I’ve seen a lot of (digital) ink spilled about the HDFury Arcana to get the most out of our soundbars. I’m wondering if there are any alternative products, for us humble souls who don’t necessarily need the full Atmos support, but still want to move away from the SPDIF dongle. Many thanks!
I have a Beam, 2 Play1 wireless speakers, sub for my SONOS system. My TV is a Sony X940E Bravia and my 4K player is a Sony UBP X700. I’ve just discovered that unless I turn my audio output on my TV to PCM, most of my 4K discs will not play sound. Unfortunately playing PCM on my SONOS Beam is underwhelming. Streaming Netflix in Dolby 5.1 sounds better. I’m wondering if I have any options. Would it be better to purchase a different 4K player or dump SONOS since this has to do with their refusal to obtain DTS licenses. Is there a converter of some sort I can get? Thanks!
Hi,I am about to wire a tv room using a projector. An Arc or similar won’t work in the room due to placement issues, however, I am considering using 4-6 in-ceiling Sonos architectural speakers, a Sonos or other sub and a Sonos Amp for optimal home theater and music sound. Will this work? The Sonos Amp and the Apple TV will reside in a tech closet in the basement. I’d run raceway from the projector to the rack for future HDMI swap out. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thx.
Well, I'm not sure if I'm just lucky, or not. I got a Sonos arc, + a pair of one sl's. Grouped them together. Added the amp, and connected my subs to the RCA output. Working just lovely. No delays, no lip sync issues, nothing. Yes, I do need to adjust the level periodically, depending on content and hardware. I get full atmos thru my panasonic JZ 2000 OLED. I must say, the sound is simply stunning. I see why Sonos has the following that it does. Thanks!
I've got a Playbar connected to my TV paired with 2 Play 1s as surround (no sub) My PC used to be connected to a half decent Sony surround amp via toslink with 5.0 speakers. Only I wasn't using it - I was using headphones through a USB DAC 99% of the time. I've also got 2x Play 1s in my study for music.I think I still want my PC to have speakers, so I'm thinking.…I've got my upgrade discount to use. I could replace the Playbar connected to the TV with a Beam gen 2. I can't see how I can justify (room size?) or really afford (wife) an Arc.I then use the playbar toslinked to my PC. It can also replace to 2 x play 1s, which are then spare.Any downsides?? How much of a downgrade / upgrade will a beam be compared to the playbar? That leaves me with some spares.... How steam proof are Play 1s?? I've got a "spare" play 5 that I use around the bathroom (not in) and I kind of think a pair of 1s on the floor in the bathroom might be better? (obviously I could use the play 1s as surround speaker
I am interested in purchasing a new Sonos Arc soundbar. Current I am using an Onkyo TX-NR686 receiver which has all my components (Rogers TV modem, Apple TV and X-Box). This is connected to my LG OLED 65C8PUA through the tv and Onkyo HDMI ARC connection. My question therefore is how to connect everything to a Sonos Arc.Would I be able to keep everything plugged into the receiver as it is now and then plug into the sonos somehow or,Could I plug all the components into the tv by hdmi and save the HDMI ARC connection for the connection from the tv to the Sonos Arc?I really have no idea if this is making sense to anyone including myself so I hand it over to you fine people to hopefully understand and advise me.I am new here and appreciate the fact that there is a forum here and good people to draw help from!Cheers,Steve
Envisioned Living room set up: 2 Sonos in ceiling speakers - rear2 Sonos in wall speakers front on both sides of the TV1 Sonos Sub1 - Possibly the Arc under TVLooking to set up 5.1 with Sonos. With the ARC I know it will be 5.1.2 which is cool too. Questions: Can the above 6 speakers be powered 1 Amp? I know the 4 in-wall / in-ceiling speakers and the sub can be powered by 1 Amp but what about the ARC? Is there another speaker besides the arc to give me that 5th speaker? And if so can it powered by the sam amp. If there is no other option besides the ARC to get me that 5th speaker and can’t be connected to the same amp then what is the best way to set this up? Will the 5.1 or 5.1.2 be that much better than a 4.1 Sonos set up. (Yes I know this is subjective but would be curious on other’s opinions)
I have a Beam surround sound system in one room (the Cosy) and an Arc surround system in a different room (the Lounge). Both are identical in that they have One SL surrounds and Gen 3 subs. Both systems were bought within a couple of months of each other. When looking at the speakers in the ‘about my system’ page in settings, the speakers in the Cosy are all listed as [Speaker type] Cosy (e.g. Sub: Cosy), including the surrounds and the Sub.But for the Lounge the sub is showing differently. Instead of ‘Sub:Lounge’ is is reporting it as Sub:Sub. The Arc and two One SLs are showing as ‘Lounge’. Both systems work fine, and show up as properly grouped in both the room selection page and the room list in the main setting page. The controls also work as they should i.e. the sub can be adjusted as part of the surround set up in the lounge. Is this an indiosyncracy of how the Arc groups with a sub in a surround set up, or is there a glitch in my system? For info, I am using Sonosnet (ie the
Hi, all.Now i have my Samsung TV connected with HDMI-ARC to Sonos Bean and the Symfonisk lamp of Ikea in the back. The sound its amazing. But, now i want to set up a cinnema. I want my projector in the back. I also want to set Sonos Amp in the back, with to wired speakers and sub. All of then must be in the back. Finally, i want Sonos Bean in the front. I know sonos Bean can send surround to my back speakers without wire. Can i send from sonos Amp to Sonos Bean without wire?Do you know what i mean? What could i do?Thanks
I bought an arc thought I’d get next lvl atmos sound… but have had nothing but headaches..it will work for a week then mid show not even pushing any buttons will just stop emitting sound until it’s hooked back up threw optical..this is beyond frustrating and no where is it made apparent if you own a Samsung tv this product won’t work... this is a big chunk of the market have they not solved this problem yet? Should I be looking for a new sound system that works..
