Hi allI’ve recently set up a new amp with existing in ceiling speakers and it works great. I’ve also connected the amp to a 2018 LG OLED via hdmi arc which pushes the sound out through the in ceiling speakers - also great. The issue I have it switching off the amp to return to playing the tv via a sky soundbox (also conducted to the tv via hdmi). This seems impossible to do, other than by physically unplugging the amp from the arc hdmi port on the tv. I only occasionally play the tv through the in ceiling speakers but it would be nice to find a slicker solution than the above workaround.I have seen similar posts without a solution from a couple of years ago so I thought perhaps someone might now have found a fix.cheers.
I recently purchased a SAMSUNG - 8K QE65Q700TATXXU. I’ve connected it directly with an optical cable to my Sonos Playbar which has two one speakers as rears (gen2).I’m experiencing very slight lip sync issues when using Netflix and Prime through Sky Q - has anyone else experienced this? I’m not sure if this is something that can be resolved quite simply by adjusting some settings. Any feedback would be appreciated. TV is up to date and about 2 weeks old.
Just got my Sonos Arc. I have a 2020 Samsung Q8DT Tv from Costco. I’m planning on setting up my arc in next few days.I have read on here that a lot of people have had connectivity and sound issues with the Samsung TV…weather the sound cuts out or they are not getting the Atmos sound. I called tech support for Sonos and they say issues have been fixed.Does anyone have any info or update on this situation as I’m hoping not to have any problems when I set up the speakers? I have an eArc HDMI port
Hi Guys and Gals. Since last night I have lost my surround sound capability. Was working perfectly fine. Came through about 2am and notice one of them pulsing white light. Looked on the app this morning and found this on the app. So with this I deleted them off the system and had to reset to factory settings to see them again of the system. Connected them up again, worked fine individually. But as soon as you connect them to surroundsound and error occurs halfway through the set up and knocks out the two speakers. Thus having to reset them to factory settings again I’ll start the whole process again.
I would like to request the optionto use two Sonos Move speakers for surround sound. It seems to me that the already built an automatic true tune would make them a uniquely convenient solution for those of us that don't want to set up permanent surroundsound.I know I could always return one of my Moves and buy two Ones but I'm counting on the fact that I'm going to spend much more time on the deck this summer than watching movies. Don't burst my bubble. :-)If I'm willing to do the set up each time, how much of a technical ask is this?Thoughts?
I after owning a play bar for 4 months i returned it to aquire the Sonos Arc. I have to set up with 2 sonos ones as surround. I would like to experience the atmos feature but my tv and dvd player dont support it even though thay have a hdmi 2.0 arc connection its an early version. I cant afford to spend more money yet so im looking to find out if i have exhausted all options. i have tried : Tv Pc dvd player Ps4 and streaming Amazon music UHD which is supposed to play atmos but doesnt. When i try to stream tidel atmos to the arc it switches to hifi and skips tracks. Any help appreciated
New to Sonos. I have the ARC home system with the 2 -One speakers and the Sub. My Xfinity cable is connected to TV HDMI 1. The ARC is connected to TV ARC HDMI4 I have two other non Sonos speakers in my room. I bought a Sonos amp - thinking I could connect the non Sonos speakers to the amp and use them as additional rear surround speakers. However, I can’t figure out how to do this. I can play Apple Music out of all the speakers on one time - but can not get the non-Sonos speakers to work with the tv. thoughts help?
Hi there , I wonder if someone can help with the atmos through Apple TV or other sources ,when I play directly from my tv eg. Netflix and other streaming service it does play atmos , but when I play the same film on Apple TV it doesn’t and is the same film ? hdmi and everything is connected properly, don’t understand
I have messed with the app and searched the forum and can’t find a clear answer. I see a lot of talk of Zones but in the app I don’t see any option for zones. I am using the new app. My normal setup is all speakers, Arc, Sub and Play 1’s as home theater surround sound. However when we are outside I would like to unplug the Play 1’s and have them just be a stereo pair for music. I have found I can remove them from the room, then create a separate stereo pair but this is very conversion. Each step takes a while for the app to update so you can do the next. Is there a better way? How do Insetup zones in the new app?
Hi - I have just ordered a new TV Philips 48OLED806.With my old Panasonic TV I have an old Yamaha soundbar which has multiple inputs - I have for example a Sky Q system and also Apple TV and bluray player. It’s currently wired so that each of these devices goes directly to the sound bar and I have to select a sound source for whatever I am watching.I am looking at BEAM2 - it appears to have only one input port?Does this mean that the sound will pass through the TV and then from the TV into the soundbar so I only need that one conneciton? If so, does this work and what do I need to watch out for there - I got the impression I have to look for something called ARC?Apologies for the silly questions but I really haven’t looked into this at all since the last time I bought a new TV about 8 years ago!
hello my playbar and sub worked great until I added (2) ONE SL speakers for surround. now the playbar, sub, and ONE’s work/sound great for a few minutes (varies) and then the audio from the playbar cuts out but the surrounds/sub continue just fine. the audio may return to the left/right channels of the playbar but never the center dialogue channel. help? thanks
I have a playbar, gen3 sub and 2 one sl set up as a surround sound in my living room. I loved is and the gen 3 sub is very powerful and just how i like it. So i bought the arc, gen 3, and 2 more one sl to put in my man cave. I figured it would be amazing in the smaller room but the sub sounds weak and nothing like the same sub in the living room. What could be wrong
I have bought the Sonos amp and hooked it up to totem signature one speakers and Sonos sub. Is the amp powerful enough to run these speakers? Totem Audio didn’t think the amp was. Suggested I contact Sonos. I couldn’t find anything on the internet to suggest the amp was. Critiques talk about budget speakers not higher end products. Appreciate your input.
I have a 5.2 setup, with the two subwoofers at the front along with the Playbase. They must remain in that location for aesthetics. The surrounds are behind the sofa along the backside of the kitchen counter.I’ve attached a photo, but is there anything I can do regarding the placement of the surrounds, or more importantly the Trueplay tuning. The green is the path I took to tune it. The orange is the locales of the Sono’s system. I didn’t know if I should go into the full kitchen while tuning, or just keep it in the watching area. Also, as you can imagine, sitting at the sofa corner(s) is very loud for surrounds. Perhaps they need to be put into negative numbers? ideally they’d go to the L/R of the sofa, but that’s not really possible.
Hi,I have an odroid n2+ box with coreelec installed, and a sonos arc sound with the last update 12.2.When trying to play a movie the box crash. I tested the box directly to the tv sound and works. On the coreelec i have configured the audio output device:AML Augesound, HDMI ch PCM.My sonos arc is connected to my tv on the arc hdmi port.I do not know what to do more.PS: Also, i tried a nvidia shield and it works, on kodi.
Hi all, my first post before buying a Sub. I was just wondering what happens to midrange when adding in a Sub. Will the Beam handle it differently than it does on its own or would it be best to add in a third Sonos unit? Or, and I suspect will be the answer, does the Sub and Beam share the responsibilty perfectly well? Thanks Martin S
Hi.I have a Sonos Arc.The Speech enhancement function seems not working.I cannot hear any difference with it turned on or off.I asked some friends to check it in my home, too, and they also cannot hear any difference. What is the problem? My Sonos App is version 13.3.When I check for Arc soundbar updates it says it’s updated. What can I do?
Hi I am building a surround sound set-up from scratch but my priority is invisibility (small children destroy things). My plan is:Arc = Front L/R + CentreAmp = Rear L/R (Sonance In-Wall)Sub = SubFrom reading things on this forum and the Sonos FAQs I think this set-up will work and will be compatible with TruePlay...am I correct? Thanks from a beginner!
The problem I am experiencing is that sometimes the sound emanating from the Beam is garbled; i.e., it sounds as if the person speaking is talking underwater. This happens randomly and generally only last for anywhere from a minute to as long as three our four minutes. I exclusively use the Beam for tv playback and have it paired with two Sonos speakers.
Hi Together, Before posting this question i seaarched the forum but did not find the correct answer, so might be a repost but please go through it and suggest me. I bought a Sonos Playbase, currently i have a Benq projector which is connected to Apple 4K TV (box), so not using any TV. When i tried to setup the Playbase, i am not able to do it, because, as i understood, i should also connect the Optical cable to some TV, otherwise i can not setup the Playbase. As i dont have the TV, i am not ablr to do it at the moment. If i buy a Coaxial to Optical switch/convertor, is it possible to setup my playbase without having a TV?.
