Does anyone know of a headphone amplifier that can decode bitstream audio? The ones i have tried don't decode it and output the just digital noise. TV won't allow the use of PCM via optical while sending bitstream 5.1 to the beam. Tried using audio extractor and that didn't work either.
I am building this room and from the dimensions you can see it is quite large with vaulted ceilings so a large volume of space too. My intent is to install a 75” TV on wall A and to have a Sonos Arc soundbar and subwoofer under the TV with Sonos speakers in the opposite corners marked as B and C.I am worried that the space will be too big for what the system can deliver and also the fact that the rear speakers are not in a 45 degree angle relative to the soundbar underneath the TV.Any suggestions will be much appreciated as I would not, ideally move away from Sonos.
Hi team , quick question , the Sonos hdmi cable I have for my beam 2 is too long , the beam sits in front of my TV and basically goes under the TV to the hdmi socket , is it possible to coil up the hdmi cable and secure it with a velcro cable tie Or can I use any other shorter hdmi cable ?? Thanks
I have an ATV connected to a projector. it goes through an Arcana before the split HDMI feed gets to the projector and Arc When I finish using the ATV, I leave it at the Home Screen. It is set to sleep after an hour’s inactivity currently, and I’ve previously tried it with sleep disabled. There is no HDMI-CEC on my Sony projector so the only thing that controls my ATV is me, with the remote, and the sleep function. Fairly regularly (maybe 1/5 of the time) when I turn on the projector then try to wake my ATV I get no picture or sound. I can successfully ask my iPhone to Screen Mirror to it. This makes me think the ATV is functioning and waking up, so I’m assuming the Arcana isn’t noticing it waking. Does anyone else have this setup or this issue?
I have a TV that has only a digital output for audio (other than the speakers on the TV). I’d like to use a Bluetooth adapter in that digital output to connect to my Sonos Move speaker. I’ve read that connecting Sonos to a TV via Bluetooth is not possible, but wondering if anyone has suggestions.
Hello! Just purchased my first few speakers this week. I have a quick question re a potential set up involving 2 x Five, 2 x One SL, 1 x Sub. If I purchase an Arc, could I have this in the middle under my TV, a Five on either side of it, the sub at the back of the room, and the two Ones on either side of the sub? I see lots of set ups with either Fives or Ones at the back of the room, with an Arc under the TV, but I haven't found any yet that have speakers on either side of the Arc as well. Any suggestions or tips are greatly appreciated.
Hello thereDiagnostics: 2113276301We have a stereo pair of Play One set up as surround sound in a room along with a sub and a Playbar. One of the Play Ones has stopped producing sound completely. I can still control the volume of the room with it but there is no sound from the unit. I’ve tried switching it on and off and performing a factory reset on it with no result. Can you please advise what else I can do to get it to work? Thank you.
Just inherited a pair of Play3’s that I am going to make the rears for my surround sound with my Arc. I MAY be overthinking this. but is there a difference beyond aesthetically in horizontal vs vertical orientation? I have the Sanus floor stands so they can go either way.
So I have the sonos Arc and decided to get the new 65" Vizio Quantum P Series TV. Read some tv re iews that showed it had great brightness and it seemed to support all audio formats via eArc (from what i saw on rtings. I'm not an audio expert, but I just wanted a good TV to hook up to my Arc and that would support whatever audio was sent to it.. Well, everything seemed to work well, but about once a week, the TV would start acting weird.. I could see the picture and sound, but the input and settings button wouldn't be responsive... when this happened, I couldn't even turn off the TV (even using the physical power button on the TV).. the only solution was to unplug the TV for about a minute and then plug it back in... This got annoying fast considering the TV plug is in the back of my entertainment stand.. I'm returning the TV and looking to get a new one.. the Vizio only cost about 1k on sale, but I'm not opposed to spending up to 2k on a tv. I wax considering the LG oled c1,
Hi i’ve been having a problem with my set up for some time now. I have Sky Q which i watch on a samsung tv. My sonos bean is connected by arc hdmi, and there are 2 play 1’s connected vis the wifi as surround sound. Often, but not always, when I turn on the TV the sound does not work. Sometimes it will play sound for around 1 second, then go off. Other times, just no sound. To get it to work I have to turn the TV off and back on, usually a few times - sometimes 8 or more times! Quite frustrating. Can anyone help with this issue?? Ive read a few similar ish posts and have restarted my equipement, checked TV is on autoplay, and am all up to date. I have also just swapped the HDMI lead in case that was a problem. Time will tell. Thanks!
My Apple TV 4K plays Netflix and Prime in Dolby Digital Plus, Fire Stick 4K plays Netflix in Dolby Digital plus but plays Prime in Atmos, Sony Android TV plays both Netflix and Prime in Dolby but no sound leveling on Sony, and Roku Ultra Plays Netflix in Dolby Digital Plus, Prime in Atmos and the Apple TV+ plays in Atmos. Wow, such a swing.
Just when I think that this useless ***** arc can't possibly get any worse, well yes it can!So suddenly it's now decided, by itself, without me changing anything, that I can turn the volume up but not down, if I try and turn it down it makes no difference, but it carries on turning up if you go the other way.... Mental. I've had a guts full with this trash, I'll be trying to get my money back next week. Moderator edit: inappropriate language
Hello, i would like to ask you. I have a specific room for proper Sonos setup. And my questions is:Is it good to have soundbar (Arc or Beam) above the TV? Will be a proper spacial audio from movies and music, when i have a angled roof and high roof? I am adding a picture, how the TV (55inch size) is situated. Thank you for any answer.RegardsOndřej
RESOLVED_________________________________________Hi all,I am fairly new to Sonos. I have got a move that works flawless and now i invested in the Arc.After connecting the Arc to my TV which was easy peasy, i find that when the TV is shut off the Arc is no longer visible on the Sonos app or in Spotify. So unless the TV is on i cannot use the Arc to playing music. What am i doing wrong here ? is it that the Arc cannot work without the TV being on or am i missing something.Hoping you can help.Kind regardsCarsten
Hi All. I have a Sonos Arc that im looking at wall mounting below my TV. I have a slim bracket on my TV, of which the tv sits only 6” from the wall. My question is anyone who has mounted there ARC with the bracket find any decrease with the sound quality/level. I heard there are sensors in the mount that make the bar change EQ.. is this for the best or not? Thanks
