Hello!I am trying to figure out how to run the ARC Sound bar and home theater set up completely wirelessly without losing the dolby atmos feature. The current situation is as followsWe just moved and brought our previous home theater components with us. The system consists of a sony vw 285ES projector.. marantz sr7008 av receiver... 110'' screen... KEF Q series 7.1 speakers/subwoofer... blurry player/ xbox/ apple tv... logitech universal remote. The new house has a smaller sheetrock wall/ceiling finished room in its basement with difficult access to run wires in the walls. So I am considering replacing the speakers in this set up with the ARC Sound bar and wireless home theater set up so that I dont have to run the speaker/ HDMI wires (other than one to the projector for video) but can still switch between the different components easily and can place my receiver towards the back of the room near the projector (shorter HDMI and can be hidden much better) but dont want to lose the atmos
I tried to connect my dad‘s new LG A9 with the Sonos Playbar. Unfortunately, I don‘t have the device here, so I can‘t recall the menu steps exactly, but the setup guides that you mostly find for setting up the bar as Philips Soundbar and then connecting to the remote, seem to follow a different version of WebOS than the most current one - so I can‘t exactly follow the tutorials I find online.I managed to get to the point where I go to Settings -> External Devices -> and can then somewhere set up a Soundbar, where I choose Philips. I am then instructed to press a button on the remote and direct it towards the soundbar - however, that button is the Power Button! It‘s not asking me to press the Vol+ button. So naturally, when I press that button the TV just turned off and nothing chaned.I also followed a tutorial where I go to the Sonos App at the abovementioned point - Sonos App then says to hit Vol+, but the TV says to hit the Power Button. When I hit Vol+, nothing happens. When I
Hi everyone,I have a samsung 65Q95T and i bought a Sonos beam. The device is simply connected in hmdi to the eARC port of the tv. I have a question about the sound configuration. In the tv should I leave the output format to Auto or change to PCM or Transfert. In auto am I getting the dolby digital ?I am planning to add 2 small speaker for the suround (probably the play one or the one). Do I need to change something in the setting of the Tv ? Thanks in advance

Hi,My setup is a Sonos Amp with two passive speakers and two Sonos Ones as surround speakers. The amp is connected to a TV via HDMI ARC.I use mainly Kodi for playback but have tested also with VLC to confirm the issues I experience. Kodi is running directly on the TV (Android) and VLC on a Mac.Dolby Digital 5.1 encoded music works perfectly and sounds great, also DTS music transcoded on the fly to Dolby Digital (transcoding supported by Kodi) works great.I understand that Sonos Amp supports DTS since a few weeks now, so I decided to give direct play of DTS tracks a spin. So far I have no luck, both Kodi and VLC produce no sound when playing DTS music to the Amp without transcoding. When I play DTS files with Kodi, the Sonos app does show that I am playing DTS Surround, even if there is no sound.Does anyone have a clue what is the issue here?
Anyone know which streaming box is best with a sonos Beam. One that can decode everything down to Dolby Digital 5.1 as my TV can only pass through signals. I have a fire stick that can do it, but is getting old and l would like something better like a apple tv box or nvidia shield. Anyone got good suggestions?

Hey guys, sorry if this has been asked multiple times but I’m a bit of a noob when it comes to this kind of stuff. I have a PS4 + OLED55BXPTA + ARC. TV audio output is set to pass through and the PS4 is set to Bitstream (Dolby) but when Blu-ray audio plays, even if the track is 5.1, the app shows at as being Multichannel LPCM 7.1. Is this normal? Or am I missing something? cheers Steve.
I have a tv room which has my Sonos playbar and 2 x Sonos Play:1 setup as a 3:1 surround system... I’ve just been given 2 x Sonos One SL - I wanted to use these as the front surround but the app won’t let me add them to the same room. I can group them with the TV room but the audio is horrible and the sound isn’t controlled by the TV remote.Am I doing something dumb or have I hit a limitation of the Sonos system? Thanks in advance
Hi all,I already have an arc based 5.1 system using a connect:amp to power the rear surround speakers. I’m wondering if there are any plans to provide external amp powered height or ceiling atmos speakers to create a true 5.1.2 system rather than using reflected sound from the arc to produce the additional .2 height effect.
I have had surround sound set up and working in conjunction with my Arc and Sub for 10 months. Over the last few days it has stopped working. My app is up to date, all my equipment is up to date. I have reset and rebooted both Sonos 1 speakers. I have rebooted my wifi (nothing else has a problem with wifi). I get two messages, depending on where I am in the rebooting process:There was a problem adding your surrounds. Check the network connection and make sure your products are powered on (done)Your left surround is unavailable. You can add a new surround or remove the existing one (have tried both). The Arc, and both Sonos 1 speakers all work independently of each other, just not as a surround. Please help!
Hi, I currently have a beam gen 2 with 2 rear symfomisks, an LG C1 and an RTX 3080 and am looking for the proper settings to use in windows. I’ve been using the Dolby Access app to setup Dolby atmos and have been using that as my sound configuration in windows. my question is regarding the channel phantoming option in windows sound enchantments. Should this option be enabled for this setup? The fact that Dolby access defaults it to enabled makes me believe that it should be on but am unsure as I’ve found some games don’t always work with this option on.
Hello all. My Play One rears have started fairly regularly echoing on TV playback after more than two years of ownership. I have changed nothing in terms of hardware: same Playbase, same Sony 4K Android TV, same BT Home Hub 6 and BT TV 4K PVR. I am 100% certain it's not the TV speakers kicking in as when I turn the surrounds off through the app, the echoing stops and doesn't return when I turn surrounds back on. Then, after a short while which could be minutes, hours or even days, the echoing will occur again. Any help would be appreciated. Regards. Barry ☺️
New sonos beam had it all connected fine from last friday then yesterday cannot seem to get the beam to connect to tv to have sound, done all the checks like unplug and do power cycle, everything seems to be right when I do the set up again the beam makes the chime sound but still no sound from tv. Hi, I can’t get DD to work on my Beam and SL’s via my firestick the app just shows its stereo, I set the the audio on the firestick to DD but it cuts the sound out, I can’t change the settings on the tv as they are greyed out apart from PCM, I get DD 2.0 via freeview (UK) am I doing something wrong or could it be the tv which is about 5 years old. Thanks
Hi. For a few years i have had 2 play:1 connected to my playbase, but for some reason they have disconnected and I cannot get them to connect again. I have my playbase connected via ethernet and all other devices via WiFi.I have disconnected and reseted the play:1s with no succyWhat can I do? Everything else works great. My tv doesn't have earc and I'm bit planning to upgrade anytime soon, My set up is 2 x play 5 arc sub Gen 3 and 2 x ones I'm trying to experience dolby atmos sound with music, I have the premium Amazon music app, can I get dolby sound from my phone via the wifi and sonos app, or can it only be done through the TV apps
I have a Play 3 and just purchased a Beam. The Beam works with the TV. The problem is the radio. it works when ‘Group’ed with the Play 3 BUT not all the time! I have gotten it to work on it’s own ungroup’ed playing the radio but only once or twice briefly before connection dropped and it says ‘Unable to connect to Sonos product’. Most of the time when I try to play the radio on the Beam it is unable to connect to Sonos product. Currently both products are in same room, close to router, but my plan is to move the Play 3 but I need to get Beam working properly first. I am guessing the problem is not the Beam but maybe wifi or router related? Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks
Optical out from TV is going into Playbar. Rear channels and all other zones play audio from TV, but not Playbar. With the amount of money I’ve spent on Sonos, and the amount of issues I have, I’m starting to think I would have been better off with Russound or Nuvo. Any suggestions to remedy the issue? Obviously the Playbar is passing audio to the other speakers, but not playing itself. I’ve had this issue intermittently for over a year. Diagnostic confirmation number: 2014974235
I have Sonos Arc, Sub Gen 3 and 2x SL for surround sound. TV- Samsung Q80T- 2020 (Using e-arc)
What is required to have Apple TV 4th generation use Sonos system for sound. Sonos is not being recognized by Apple TV as an option. Apple TV Tech Support has NO CLUE. And Sonos documentation only talks about remote pairing. I want sound to come through Sonos Playbar, sub and Play 3s’. It’s not that complicated of a question but neither seems to address it.Thanks for any HELP!
