How do I connect Beam to PS4?

I cannot get audio from my PS4 to my Beam. I'm connected from Beam to the ARC HDMI on my TV and HDMI from PS4 to TV. Have both set up for PCM and have tried all other combos. This seems like it should be so simple but nothing has worked and Google/YouTube have been no help.

Thanks for all the replies. Turns out this was just a TV issue. My 2015 Vizio TV just did not work with the CEC function on the Beam. I continually got an error that the HDMI connection wasn’t correct.

Once I plugged this into a 2017 TCL Roku TV it worked like a dream. Very happy now!
You’re getting PCM Stereo, 100% sure!

I did use search Snowjaeger. The link you sent was specifically for Blu Ray playback.

Have you tried the optical output (if you have one) just to help narrow down the root cause?
Hi there,

I have sound between my tv and PS4, with the cables set up just as you said - PS4 into HDM1, Beam plugged into HDMI2/ARC. The PS4 is set to output in "Bitstream (Dolby)" in the audio settings section, and it seems to come through fine. Haven't checked what the TV is set to do.

I have no idea if it's coming through as 5.1, stereo or what, but it is making the right sounds.
