High Pitched Noise from Sonos Beam

My Sonos beam emits a high pitched whine when fast forwarding and when switching from a Sky Q recording back on to Sky Q live it is becoming really annoying.

Is anyone having the same issues with the Beam?

Welcome to the Sonos Community.

 

I would like to know if you have the Beam connected to the Tv using the HDMI ARC connection or are you using the optical connection. I also would like for you to try going onto Netflix or any other streaming service to see if the high pitched noise happens on there. Feel free to send us a diagnostic and reply back with the confirmation number after your findings.

It happens on Netflix and when I switch back from Netflix to Sky Q as well as from a Sky Q recording to Sky Q.

The Beam is connected via HDMI ARC.

When it happens again I will run a diagnostic and send it off to you.
