Confusion over PCM and Dolby

Firmware 12.2 has been out and we’ve got official support for PCM playback capability.

I wanted some idea on which one is better

AppleTV playing Dolby Atmos/TrueHD

- AppleTV converts it to PCM (as Apple doesn’t support TrueHD/Atmos)

- LG B9 with eARC pass through

- Sonos app shows Multichannel PCM 7.1

vs

Nvidia Shield playing Dolby Atmos/TrueHD

- Nvidia Shield sends signal as Atmos/TrueHD

- LG B9 with eARC pass through

- Sonos app shows Dolby Atmos (TrueHD )

I personally found TrueHD to richer and seemed to have a wider surround sound.
