cannot control sound

i have just purchased a beam soundbar and nothing works and there are no instructions.the downloaded app only shows music crevicesi can not control the sound or any other functions. I wish i had never purchases this speaker. I have tried the help desk no but they do not answer what a waste of money

Can you give a little more information about where you're getting stuck?

Below are instructions for setting up the Beam:

Once everything is connected, the controller app should prompt you to setup a new Sonos system (assuming this is your first Sonos product). You should be able to follow the prompts from there.
