Question

Can Sonos One be both surrounds in a group and used individually in different rooms?

I am thinking of buying the Sonos Ones to use in two different rooms, but would also like to be able to move them into the family room and use them as rear surrounds with my Playbar for those nights we watch a movie. Is there an easy way to do this or will I need to connect them all together and separate them again each time? Is there a way to set up speaker functions when in a group together? So that way I have each speaker as it’s own system/room but when grouped together the Ones will act as surround speakers?

It’s possible to re-purpose the speakers this way, but not practical. You’ll need to keep setting them up and then resetting/bonding for surrounds duty.
