Question

Arc Amp in ceiling goes along together?

Hello you guys, I’ll be setting up in my new house, a year from now, a sound Sistem and my research took me to Sonos,”.

im thinking about a tv connected to the Arc and an amp powering 4 in ceiling speakers( I might also add an OneSl in the kitchen just to talk to Google home.

the thing is:

    - does all them go along together? Can I have a surround system with the arc and in ceiling speakers?

   - do I get a true surround system with this configuration?

   - can i use the arc just for the tV and set up the in ceiling speakers for music at the same time?

thank you in advance

Hi @Ypioca, thank you for reaching us out and welcome to the Sonos Community. I appreciate you for providing us your concern. Let me help you with this.

Appreciate your interest in Sonos products too. Sonos Arc, Sonos Amp, and Sonos One work together when they are grouped in the Sonos app.

The Sonos Amp Amp works with traditional 8-ohm bookshelf speakers as well as pairs of 6 or 4-ohm speakers that you can connect via the banana plugs. You can check out this article about connecting four speakers to your Sonos Amp to guide you through.

The Sonos Amp can be added as surround with the Sonos Arc to create a home theater setup. An Amp supports Trueplay when using Sonos In-wall or In-Ceiling by Sonance Architectural speakers with the Amp. It is not available for the Sonos Outdoor by Sonance Architectural speakers. An Amp also supports Trueplay when powering Sonos rear channels in a home theater setup.

You can remove the Amp as surround from the home theater setup to play TV with the Arc and play music with the Amp at the same time. Set back the Amp as a surround to return to the home theater setup.

We can wait for suggestions and feedback from our Sonos community members, they might provide their own opinion about this. You may also contact our Sales specialist to know more about it.

Hope this helps.
