Adding Sonos One to TV surround.

I am wondering if I can replace a Play:1 with a Sonos One that is a part of my TV surround setup consisting of: Playbar, Sub, 2 x Play:1
My goal is use the Airplay Apple functionality from the Sonos One, but have the speaker be a part of the surround.
Or would it be better to place the Sonos One independently somewhere else?

No to your first question, yes to your second.

The Sonos One, when bonded as a surround speaker, loses its functionality for Alexa purposes. And, using the Sonos software, you can't have a One and a PLAY:1 as surrounds, they both have to be the same model type.

So, you're better off placing the Sonos one somewhere else.
