Sonos Spotify vs Google Assistant and Alexa

I have bought Sonos Beam and succesfully added Spotify through Sonos app. However controlling Spotify through either Google assistant or Amazon Alexa does not work properly.

When asking Google assistant to play Spotify I get “Something went wrong”, while Alexa is asking me to link Spotify playing skill (which is linked).

Once I am already playing Spotify through a phone or a pc, I can issue commands like “next” or “play”.

But asking both voice assistents for a specific song or a playlist again results in the same problems as above.

I have a few days to resolve this problem, or I am strongly considering returning the Sonos Beam to where it came from.

I would like to check the Voice service with a diagnostic in the Sonos app.

In the Sonos app fo to Setting > Help & Tips, > submit diagnostic and post the confirmation here.

Since Alexa is asking to add the Spotify skill; please double-check the skill under Skills & Games in the Alexa app.

It’s separate from the Spotify music account.

For Google assistant, however, we would need to check the diagnostics.
