Sonos Connection Issue

I've had a One for about a year now, and it has worked fine the whole time.

When google home integration came out I linked it and it has been working fine as a unit until today.

I came home and tried to get google to play spotify and was met with the response "Sorry I cannot connect to spotify at the moment".

I also attempted to play through a spotify instance via my phone as I had many times before. The device "Living room" appears, and I can attempt to connect to play over it. However, it just stays in this state saying connecting indefinitely.

No idea why this has occurred as nothing has changed. The wifi remains the same, all other home devices still connect fine. To play any music I have to go through the Sonos app 😞 😞 and this is very inconvenient.

I've cycled power and reset the device, but this continues to occur.

Any suggestions as how to fix would be much appreciated.

Perhaps try rebooting your router to see if that may fix the connection. It might be a DNS connection issue.

When you say that you 'reset' your Sonos One, presumably that wasn’t a factory reset, otherwise you would need to set up the assistant again on your speaker.
