Setting up routines on Sonos One-Gen 2 smart speaker

I was surprised to learn that you cannot setup a ‘Routine’ on a Sonos One speaker. This was confirmed by Sonos Customer Care. Specifically I was informed that “Google Assistant doesn't have Routine support within Sonos yet”. 

Needless to say I was disappointed given the price of the Sonos One vs. a simpler Google Nest Mini. Yes, the sound quality is no comparison between the two which is why I opted for the Sonos. And I just assumed (incorrectly, obviously) that a Sonos One would provide all the setup features you’d find in the Nest Mini. If a $50 speaker can provide daily ‘routines’ then why doesn’t a $200 speaker???

I’m hoping the Engineers at Sonos will resolve this issue shortly.
