Google assistant won't work on my Sonos One speaker

I have the Sonos One speaker that supposedly has Google Assistant built in. It is recognized by the system and plays music without a problem. I have gone through the whole install routine for getting Google Assistant to install and the app and it says it is installed. But nothing happens after Hey Google -- no response whatever. One issue I noticed in installation -- the instructions say that the devices appear and you choose if you want Google Assistant on each particular device. I never get that opportunity. At the end of installing Google Assistant after Voice control, I just get a message that says GA is now operating. I've tried removing the sonos and google assistant apps from my iPhone and reinstalling. I say something like "hey Google, play the beatles in the kitchen" (the name I have to the One). Nothing happens. Any suggestions?

Soundbar auido

When I switch from listening to music through Googla and want to go back to watchingtelevision, the sound does not return to the tv. Do I have something checked or unchecked? How do I resolve this? Thanks Mike

Hola. Me gustaría saber para cuando esta previsto que sonos funcione con google home en Español. Deberían retirar la opción de google home por lo menos en España ya que no funciona y es engañar al consumidor. Gracias.

So I have a 3 Sonos Speaker setup and I like to play my Line in Speaker in the Bedroom on the LR Speaker. Easy to do with one click via the app. What are the Google Assistant Voice commands that will make this happen?

Another strange error in a Google routine

I had another weird error happen today with Google Assistant on my Sonos One. I asked Google to run my morning routine as I do every day, and when it got to the command to play my news radio station, it said that it couldn't do that on this speaker, but could on one of my other Google Home speakers. ??? I tried it again later on the Sonos One, and it worked normally again. No explanation. It's not like it could have misheard something, which is what I usually think when there's an error - this is a pre-set command within a routine. Oh well, another day, another mysterious bug... I'm not sufficiently motivated by the minor problems to go back to Alexa, but the one thing that continues to really bother me is the response delay. When I speak to my other Google Home speakers, the response is almost always immediate, or at least quick. At least half the time when I speak to Google Assistant on the Sonos One, there is a lengthy response delay, anything from 5 to 10 seconds where the LED is

google assistant change source to tv after listening to music

Can’t figure out the correct google assistant command to tell the beam to switch audio to tv output instead of Spotify after listening to music. Any one figure it out? When i used Alexa, it was “switch beam to tv”’or something similar. If it matters, I’m also using a Logitech harmony to control the tv through assistant integration.

Accessing music from Google Play Music's library

I have recently purchased Sonos speakers and have added Google Play Music. I don't have an extensive library of uploaded music in GPM, rather I have saved artists and then browse Google's entire library. That said, I can only see my uploaded music on the Sonos app. Is that the way it is designed?

problems setting up sonos one gen2

It has been imposible to connect my sonos one gen2 with Google assistant. Alexa works, but will not control Spotify, so I can listen to music but need my phone to pause, fast forward, selector, etc. Very dissapointed. Chatted with support, no solution. I have a JBL smart speaker, installation was a breeze, works perfect with Spotify, smart switches etc.

Hi, I'm using my Sonos One speakers with Google Assistant. Some more details on my set-up: [list] [*]I'm using my setup in Belgium. But I had to set my Sonos account to USA, due to stupid location limitations... [*]My Google Assistant language is Dutch (Netherlands), as Belgian Dutch is not yet supported by Google on smartspeakers [/list] Here's an issue that I'm facing... I can use most Google Actions without any issues. But as soon as there's media playback inside the action, there seems to be a problem. 2 examples of impacted actions are [url=https://assistant.google.com/services/a/uid/000000511c330486?hl=nl_nl]VRT Nieuws [/url](the Belgian public broadcast) and [url=https://assistant.google.com/services/a/uid/000000b364209f9a?hl=nl_nl]NOS[/url] (the Dutch public broadcast). Sonos not playing broadcasts

I've tried on my Beam, a Sonos One Gen 2 in my kitchen and my Sonos One Gen 2's as surrounds in my living room. None of them will play a broadcast message no matter where it originates from. I've checked for updates, everything is up to date. All of them will send a message but non of them will play any. Otherwise, the GA seems to be working fine. This is quite inconvenient though. Hope there is an update to fix this soon.

adding sonos to google home not working

I try to add sonos to my google home control. I log on correctly to my sonos account and it completes the process. But at the end, the home control does not get added. I check that everything that the system is updated and all my phones are updated as well.

[feature request] make it possible to have both Google Home and Alexa as voice services in one speaker

This was the reason I spent quite some money on getting 5 Sonos One's and Sonos Connect. The whole idea here was to limit number of devices you need to have a) multi-room audio b) Google Home assistant and c) Alexa assistant throughout your home. This is critically important for me and new Google Home update doesn't give me any value if I have to turn off Alexa to use it. I badly need BOTH.

Google Assistant has problem playing TuneIn station

Google Assistant on Sonos is giving me a problem trying to play my favorite local news station News 1130 from TuneIn as I commonly do on Alexa and Google Home, for example on Google Home: "Hey Google, play News 1130 radio" = "All right, playing News 1130 on TuneIn", station plays. But with Google Assistant on Sonos One: "Hey Google, play News 1130 radio" = "All right, playing CKWX on TuneIn" = "Sorry, it looks like that content isn't available on TuneIn" (CKWX is an alternative name for News 1130). Saying "play CKWX" instead produces the same response. Google Home recognizes "play CKWX" as an alternative to "play News 1130", and the station plays correctly either way. Selecting and playing the TuneIn station News 1130 from the Sonos app to the Sonos One works fine. Playing other TuneIn stations on the Sonos One by saying "Hey Google, play (station name)" seems to work fine in a few other tests. I have 2 Sonos One's, a sub and a playbase in a suround setting. The Assistent voice is over my left rear (Sonos One) speaker, is there a way to change it to the other speaker, the right rear?

Pandora plus does not work when started from Google assistant

I have a Pandora plus paid account which allows listening without commercials. That account is appropriately linked to Google home (I can see it in my Linked Media, and have tried unlinking and linking again, which registers fine). Sonos speakers are linked in Google home. However when I play a Pandora station and start it with Google home mini or other home assistant device and send it to Sonos (which I specify "ok Google play x station on Pandora on X sonos", and Google responds saying it is playing on Pandora on X sonos), it plays one or two songs and goes straight to a commercial, like it is a free Pandora account. This is not an artist discovery thingy, but a true commercial (which I never hear listening to hours of Pandora on my tablet/phone). Is anyone else having this issue, or have a fix? Pandora plus works great if I play it straight on my Sonos; works fine if I play straight on Google home, or from Google home to a Chromecast audio device into my sonos; only doesn't work

Sonos as default speaker for music?

After the outage earlier today I finally have everything working and I couldn't be happier (I can play, pause and change volume on my old Play 3s with my voice which is all I wanted for two years now). But it's a little unfortunate that in a room with (1) a Google home and (2) a sonos speaker, I still have to append "on the kitchen Sonos" to my requests to begin playing music (otherwise the music plays on the answering Google device). The Google home app lets you configure what the default device is for playing music, and it lists not only my various Google speakers but also my vizio TVs on the network, etc., but it strangely doesn't list my sonos speakers. Is there a way to make this happen?

Voice command to play Spotify doesn't work again

My Beam is acting glitchy again. Voice command to ask Spotify to play was working the other day now it isn't. It says "I can't do that here but you can ask me to play it on one of your other devices." However, if I use Spotify Connect, it works. All other voice commands work.

I have 2 Sonos 5 and just added a Sonos 1 smart speaker. Am using Google Assistant but can't access music even though on my phone I selected Napster. Am I able to access Napster via voice command?
