Hey guys, I love the Google assistant integration with my Sonos! But i have 9 Sonos speakers of which only 1 Sonos One speaker. Voice control works perfect, but i was wondering, is there a way to push the playback of Google assistant to all or to more than only my 1 Sonos ONE speaker? It would be cool if I can push Google's Assistant voice to all my Sonos speakers in my dining room but I have clue if that's possible? thnx !
Hello, In my living room I have a Playbase and 2 Ones as surrounds, when I have my Playbase directly connected to my network I cannot enable Assistant in this room. The Sonos ones I have in my bedroom have no issues. Once I remove the physical connection and use Wi-Fi, I am able to configure this without issues. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue?
Play music from the Sonos App to GH speakers Hello! Yesterday i completed the integration with Google Home and it works well but i can't find a way to use to Sonos app to play music to the Google Home speakers i have(GH Max and mini). Did I miss something in the setup process or is the feature to play music to GH speakers from the Sonos app not there? Sorry for the headline in swedish, thought it would be posted in the swedish form and it seems I cant edit it
I've just got my Beam. Very impressed with the sound quality and the ease of setup, my TV is a 9 year old Sharp Aquos and I thought I'd end up using the optical cable but was very happy to discover Aquos Link is, in fact, HDMI-CNC! So, all working. Good stuff. I knew GA integration was a bit quirky but I was really frustrated not to be able to pause Netflix or YouTube with GA. "OK Google, pause" just resulted in "sorry, there was an error". Once paused (via the app on my phone), a simple "ok Google, play" gets it started again. I tried renaming the Beam but no luck. Strangely though, an "ok Google, pause" works with Google Play Music. After fiddling and searching for a while my son eventually suggested "OK Google, pause Netflix/YouTube", which, to my delight, works! This isn't a big deal but are there a lot of these inconsistencies? I'm wondering if there's other functionality that I might discover seems not to work as my phrasing isn't quite right.
Following the instructions for Google Assistant and it by passes the screen to which I need to sign in to add the account
Following the instructions for Google Assistant I tried to look at removing the service from a speaker in the sonos app , and I don't see Google Assistant I looked in my GH on IOS and and do see speakers. I can and did unlink it there I readded the account I still do not see Google assistant in the sonos app under the room name. This was part of sonos trouble shooting steps to remove it. I am in Canada I am running latest sonos and latest IOS I have A playbar and sub And first gen PLay 5 Using My google home I try saying "OK Google Play pink on Master bedroom" and it says it can't do that right now. I tried "OK Google Play pink in the Master bedroom" and it says it can't do that right now
I was previously using Alexa, but have switched to Google Assistant now I've got an Android. The sensitivity of waking Google with "Ok Google" is much lower than when using Alexa - when can this be fixed? Also, in my case I have two sonos ones as rear speakers, with amp as front two with sub, when using Alexa both rear ones would listen, now only the rear left?????
I changed ISPs yesterday, including setting up a new modem, but kept my original modem as a router (new modem is in bridge mode) - so all my devices are still using the same networks as before. Everything is working smoothly except for Google Assistant on my Sonos One (gen 2) stereo pair. It kept saying “something went wrong” and “there was a glitch”, so after rebooting it didn’t work, I removed GA with the intention of re-adding it. Except now I can’t re-add it! Every single time, it takes me to the Google Assistant app, which repeatedly “can’t find any devices”. My iPhone and the Sonos Ones are definitely on the same network. Things I’ve tried, with multiple attempts in between at adding GA: - Rebooting the router - Rebooting the Sonos One - Removing all accounts from the Google Assistant/Google Home apps except for mine, which is the same email address as the one associated with the Ones - Exiting and restarting those two apps and the Sonos apps - Restarting my phone - Remov
Hello. I am trying to sync my wife's voice with sonos so she can play sonos via voice control on Google assistant. I can do this on my device but she cannot. The Sonos app on her phone is logging into my Sonos account and therefore picks up my voice control not hers. Is there a way to make this work, so she can control Sonos with her voice? Thanks
Starting to get annoyed... Purchased 2 google minis and a Sonos One to go with my 4 play ones, play bar and bass. Two of the play ones are set up surround sound with the bar. [list=1] [*] I have found it is better to start music with the Sonos app. When I ask google to play pandora, it plays music, but I can't say play pandora thumprint. Funny thing is, I can say hey google, stop music, even though I have started it through sonos app. You can also say hey google, skip song. [*]Someone suggested we upload our saved music to Google PLay. My songs on my computer won't upload. Did some searching, said to use the Music Manager in google, see why they won't upload. Can't get Music Manager to work. Some DLL error. Googled that. Found I should download something from Microsoft from 2013. I could not do that. [*]If I do say Hey Google, play music from Pandora, how do I see what station is playing? How can I easily change the station? [*]Casting - when I want to cast, I click t
Hi, Using a Google Mini to control Sonos is proving a little testing... When I say "Hey Google" I expect the Sonos volume to drop so GA can hear me... But it doesn't... I then shout "Volume 10%" and the volume INCREASES (it was playing higher than 10% so should have reduced...) I then shout "Volume 10%" again and, once again, the volume goes up (even louder)! I think GA/Sonos *thinks* it dropped the volume to hear me and the unexpected increases are the result of only doing the restore half of the temporary volume reduction. Anyone experienced the same? (Anyone else wishing the Sonos app had a "reboot all devices" option?)
Hei.
How do I get my beam to play music that I own and is saved on my phone with a voice command? When I ask it to pay anything, it says I don't have a subscription so Google Play Music. GPM is my default music service since all my music is uploaded into that library. I can cast it to the Beam, but it wont play anything I ask it to.
I have a play bar and two sonos ones (as the back speakers) and a sub. I also have Google home devices throughout the house. Because the Sonos ones are connected to Google assistant, it has the (usually helpful) feature that it will lower the TV volume on the surround sound system when in the living Room. Unfortunately, if someone elsewhere in the house says a Google command to the various other devices throughout, the living Room surround system volume still gets lowered for the command, which is incredibly annoying to anyone in the living Room not understanding why their volume is being lowered. Is there a work around for this?
It's extremely silly that the Sonos beam has Google assistant built in, but I can't add it to a speaker group and play multi room audio with the rest of my Google cast enabled speakers. Im not buying any more Sonos products until this gets fixed. I know they want people to stay in their ecosystem but that's more of a deterrent than anything. Get it together Sonos!
I'm trying to trigger Calm using Google Assistant on my Sonos one, so that I don't have to open the distraction/stress generator machine that is my iPhone. :) However, this task is making me all but calm. When say "on Google talk to calm" to the Sonos it says that "calm is not supported on this device". I've also tried putting Calm content into My Sonos in the Sonos app, which works, but I can't seem to find a way to play those via Google Assistant. Google Assistant on the Sonos One works great I'm general, plays Spotify etc. Calm works when using it from the Sonos app. Calm works when using the iOS Google Assistantant app. Can you provide some trick to solve my ailment?
