Hi everyoneNew Sonos user here. I’ve set my Beam Gen 2 and pair of One SLs (living room) with Google Voice, and I’ve also linked a Google Home Mini (kitchen) to the Sonos in the hope that:I can use the mini in the kitchen to control music on the Sonos system in the living room; I can transfer whatever is playing in the living room to the kitchen and vice versa; and I can duplicate whatever is playing in the living room in the kitchen and vice versa. Please can somebody let me know if this is possible? The problem’s I’m having are:When I try and transfer or duplicate music (e.g. by saying “play in the living room as well” it says it doesn't recognise that command? If I ask the google home mini to play something it defaults to playing on the Sonos system - I would have thought I’d need to specify that I wanted it to play in the living room and it would default to the kitchen?Any input greatly appreciated! Thanks

Hello Guys !I use a few Sonos in my house (two five and a sub + four one) all the Sonos One have Google Assistant enabled with voice match to identify family members speaking. When someone from the family talk to Google Assistant asking to play music, the Sonos play using Spotify (music provider configured in Google Assistant) but it take the last account used in the sonos app.It should be great to identify the spotify account (or other music providers accounts configured on the Sonos App) based on the voice user that ask to play music : I suppose it is possible to identify the google account associated to the voice that is talking to Google Assistant then use this account to match the spotify or other music providers configured on the Sonos App to play with the good account. Maybe renaming the spotify account on the Sonos App to match the google address used by Google Assistant to help identify the account owner or something like that ?Thank you guys to make it possible 😉
Hey y’all. I have a Sonos Play:5 (Gen 2) set up in my living room and I recently purchased a Google Nest Mini (Gen 2) to control it. I’ve set everything up to the point where I can tell the Nest to do things like pause and start music on the Sonos, but when I try to command the Nest to play a specific artist / genre / playlist etc. (e.g. “Hey Google, play jazz on Sonos in the living room”), it replies with the following error message: “Sorry, it looks like Apple Music isn’t currently supported on the living room”. I have set up Apple Music as the default music service on the Nest, and have logged into the same Apple Music account on both devices. I’m a bit puzzled by the error message, since I’m pretty sure I was able to control Apple Music on the Sonos via the Nest at an earlier stage of setting the two devices up. But maybe I’m just misremembering. I’ve read suggestions elsewhere online that controlling Apple Music on a Sonos Play:5 via the Nest just isn’t supported. In any case, doe
I have read through the community and tried multiple things, but no luck so fare with paring Sonos One to Google Assistant. I have tried with both iPhone and iPad. The process stops once the Sonos App “calls” the Google Assistant app and i have chosen “Next” - “This may take a minute or two” after a few minutes the Google Assistant app just returns this error: “There may be a problem”I have tried the following: Deleted the sonos app. Deleted the Google Assistant app. I have reset the Sonos One speaker and added it to the system again.Still no luck.
Randomly stopped working would say try again in a second when giving any command. so i unlinked removed google assistant and then re added the sonos to google home and it will not find my devices. none of the forums topics etc that ive read through have fixed this issue and im seriously sick of having spent thousands of dollars for it to barely work. its absurd how expensive these products are for such terrible service. If anyone has a solution please let me know.
When I give my Beam Google Assistant a command to play music, it plays on my Play:5 instead. The Play:5 sits below the Beam and is inputed from a turntable to play my old LPs. That works fine. The Beam is connected via ARC to my Samsung TV and works fine for TV audio also. Both speakers are in the same room, with the Beam on the top shelf of the media center and the Play:5 below it.My question is: Why does a music voice command on the Beam play music on the Play:5 instead? Also, why I cannot control the volume of the Play:5 from the Beam voice command. I have to touch the Play:5 buttons to increase or decrease the volume. Thanks,
I'm sure this question has been asked a number of times, but I'm hoping there's a quick solution. Recently purchased the Sonos One 2nd Gen. I've used the Google assistants as everything is linked. After setting everything up, when asking Google via the sonos speaker.. the GA on my phone activates but it also provides my request through the phone... Whether playing a tune on sportify or getting a calender request etc. So it's playing both on the speaker and phone. Is there anyway of stopping? It's really frustrating. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks Lee
I — like apparently so many others — have tried a million times to get Google Assistant connected to my Beam. It worked some years ago, but I must have made some changes... Anyway, I now got it to work by unlinking the Sonos account (which must have been created years ago) on Google. You want to go to your matching Google account and under ‘Security’ click on ‘Linked Accounts’. There, if you have an old Sonos account, unlink that. And then go back to Google Home (or the Sonos app, I guess) and do the normal procedure for adding a device. (this is the direct link to ‘Linked Accounts’: https://myaccount.google.com/accountlinking) BestMikael
Hello, does anyone know if it will be possible to connect the sonos equipment to google assistant in my region (ARGENTINA)? I have an automation and home automation company and we want to implement the sonos equipment to our offer. We currently use FINDER equipment for automation, and samsung. Thank you very much for your time.
I’ve got my Sonos speakers linked with my Google account and until recently I could tell Google Assistant, either on my phone or on my Nest Hub, to “listen to ‘artist/song’ in the ‘roomname’” and it would play the choice on the Sonos speaker in that room. Something seems to have changed recently though. Now if I say “listen to ‘artist/song’ in the “roomname” it ignores the room and just plays on the device that received the request. The Sonos speakers show up in Google Home and in the correct rooms, when someone rings my Nest doorbell the Sonos speakers announce that there’s someone at the door, and if I ask the Assistant to “play ‘artist/song’ on ‘speakername’” it will work. I’ve tried moving the speakers between rooms in the app, I’ve unlinked and relinked my Sonos account and I’ve made sure that my One speakers are set up to use Assistant too, just in case, but it still won’t work as it used to. Any ideas?
When ever I ask to play music on the Arc via Google Assistant I get the response "I cannot do that here, but you can ask me to play it on one of your other devices."Out of several Sonos speakers that are GA enabled this is the only giving me this issue.I have removed and added GA many times. I have done a complete reset on the Arc at least 3 times. The amount of issues with GA and Sonos speakers ever since going to S2 is getting beyond ridiculous now. I'm just frustrated with dealing with these issues. When I get one fixed, soon there is another bug. Any ideas what to try next?
hello.I cannot add google assistant on my sonos app.See below what I have tried:i can see all my 4 sonos linked to my Google home app in their respective rooms I have unliked them and then linked them back again I have rebooted all 4 sonos speakers both my google assistant / home and sonos app are up to date they are on the same wifi network I am logged in one google account Spotify is my default music service on both google home and it is linked in the sonos app with my unique login details I still cannot add google assistant to my sonos app.Can you please help. Thanks
Ive successfully used the Google Assistant on my new speaker. However I cant get the feature to work if it moves away from my router. All other services work i.e music playback through the app. I want it in the neighbouring room to the router, all of 7 metres away. All other wifi dependent devices work. Just seems a bit strange to me. Any ideas?
