Can't connect to Google Assistant when Playbase is hardwired

In my living room I have a Playbase and 2 Ones as surrounds, when I have my Playbase directly connected to my network I cannot enable Assistant in this room. The Sonos ones I have in my bedroom have no issues.

Once I remove the physical connection and use Wi-Fi, I am able to configure this without issues. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue?
