I have created a simple web-based API using what I have, which could be useful for integrating stuff with other applications. This web based API is inspired by other RESTful APIs, however I don't think it follows the correct guidelines to be called a REST API. IT supports most basic features like: play, pause, seek, next, prev, volume, mute, setAVTransportURI It also supports these advanced fatures: State of player as
When I try to set up my Sonos, it says to connect to a wireless network called SONOS. I do not see this appear in the list of available networks. I've set up this Sonos before and it worked fine, all of a sudden it stopped working so I reset everything and tried to re-install and am running into this issue. Not sure what happened to make the Sonos stop working but now I can't re-install. Any information would be great.
Sonos ONE set up, flashing orange light. Unable to connect to WiFi wirelessly sitting literally next to the router or even when using ethernet cable. Light flashes green until it tries to connect to WiFi, then flashes orange. After a few seconds of not trying anything it flashes green again but will still not connect to WiFi. This ONE is brand new and has never been connected before. Not sure if it's a hardware issue or what is going on.
So basically the orange LED is flashing slowly, i tried to read thru the manual and it said the product is in too hot environment (?), my room temperature is approx. 23°C. Also the speaker is now unresponsive and wont turn on or off, nor is showing in my Sonos app anymore. Any tips for solving this? Edit: I tried to plug it into a charger but that did not help either, its completely bricked. Kinda disappointed, i was only able to use it for total of 45 minutes yesterday…Money well spent
Hi, This clearly seems to be a common problem with sonos systems. My system keeps dropping connection regularly, especially with the radio. I have reset my router, updated my software but to no avail. There seems from other threads that there are several different reasons for this happening. Has anyone got any suggestions where to even start? All help gratefully received
I was playing on my Xbox when the arc suddenly made an extremely loud pop sound and then lost audio completely. The app wouldn’t let me adjust the volume and Alexa wake up didn’t emit its usual tone. I had to remove the power from the arc and reapply which resumed the audio. I’m concerned that one of the speakers in the arc may have been damaged when this happened. Has anyone had this issue? We have had no issues with the arc since purchasing it earlier this year.
After updating to 9.0 on iOS, I am getting the message "Sonos App controls no longer appear on your lock screen" on all my updated devices. The lock screen controls stopped working on all my controllers with above message. I do not have any other music player running nor I have any sort of voice over configured. Settings for the app are correct with both hardware volume control and lock screen controls enabled on all devices.
Is there a way to connect my Windows 10 PC to my Sonos One speakers wirelessley so that I can use them as PC speakers? I’ve just switched over from Amazon Music to Spotify today and found that the Spotify PC app connects to the Sonos One speakers wirelessley, whereas the Amazon PC app wouldn’t even recognise the Sonos One speakers. I’ll be getting a soundbar soon, but in the meantime I’d like to use my Sonos One’s as PC speakers. Moderator note: We updated this article in October 2023 with new information below. For more information on how to use Sonos speakers as PC speakers please have a look at this tutorial on our community.
Hi all, I'm getting one or two drops from some of my SONOS speakers which are the furthest from my router. I currently use seven SONOS speakers, they are all on the quietest channel so now I would like to move them all to use SONOSNET. I realise I have to wire one speaker to start this process but have no idea how I move the remaining speakers. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Obviously, this question has been discussed in this forum, I want to clarify some questions. 5Ghz is only used in a 5.1 set up I suppose? In terms of connectivity bond, projecting sound from Tv (Movies) 2.4Ghz is employed in multi-room usage? In terms of projecting your movie audio to different rooms; Streaming music from Spotify (I believe that a 5.1 streaming music is using 2.4ghz then) So how Sonosnet have anything to do with this? If I'm using a standard set up for my 5.1, I'm actually getting my router to work on 5ghz? if this statement even make sense
