Hi, The version 7.4 of Windows Controller freezes every now and then. If you guys get the Windows Error Reporting(WER), you might be seeing this across your customers. If you are not yet using WER, here's some info: https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/bb513641(v=vs.85).aspx

Observed the freezes on two devices, here's sample event log entries from the device I'm writing this with:

The program Sonos.exe version 6.0.0.34230 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. To see if more information about the problem is available, check the problem history in the Security and Maintenance control panel.

Might be helpful to include which version of windows you're using,

Crashes in PenIMC_v0400.dll were a regression in the Windows Creators update as I recall. Visual Studio is another WPF app effected by it. Suggest trying our app instead (which doesn't use WPF and isn't effected by this issue).

You can read all about this WPF regression here:

https://developercommunity.visualstudio.com/content/problem/55303/visual-studio-may-terminate-unexpectedly-when-runn.html

The work-around that might help the Sonos app is to disable Ink in Windows (the final post on that page).
