UWP app for XBox and Windows 10 please.
Seriously its about time we got one. Hey you can even use Xamarin if you want one codebase for iOS, Android and Windows, UWP (windows 10 and Xbox).... A Cortana skill would also be nice and usable from these devices as well. Some love for the Microsoft user community would be appreciated

Couldn't agree more, especially with Microsoft putting more emphasis on IOT and an upcoming barrage of home / kitchen PC's. They have made the level of effort minimal to port apps to Windows 10. A single universal app for Windows 10 PC, tablets, Xbox, and VR should be a no-brainer. I have no plans to expand my sonos system further until this is addressed.
Sonos ruled out a UWP app months ago. They are concentrating on voice control, which has a significantly higher profile as far as sales go.

If you want a modern Sonos app on your Windows device, search the Store for 3rd party options.
You can tell how interested Sonos are in the PC platform by looking at the UI changes made in the PC app in the last eight years (TL;DR: none), and by the fact that you can't even set up Alexa support with the PC version.

A legacy app is different than having a touch friendly and fast UWP app that would allow for Cortana integration.
Doesn't matter. As stated, Sonos has rulled a UWP out in favor of other voice control assistants.
