To get firmware version
Is there any API could be used to retrieve speaker software firmware version?

Retrieve the version number? More > Settings > About My Sonos System lists the versions.

Just http GET the xml file directly from the device e.g. http://192.168.1.xxx:1400/xml/device_description.xml and look for softwareVersion
