Sonos Mac App & Applescript Integration

Hi.

Could you add AppleScript support for the Sonos Desktop Mac App?

AppleScript makes it easy for users & other Mac apps to control Sonos. Most music players on Mac have AppleScript support, like iTunes, Spotify, Deezer, Rdio, VLC etc.

For instance, FinelyTuned is able to control iTunes, Spotify or Rdio via AppleScript. Unfortunately, it can't control Sonos yet, due to the lack of AppleScript support.

Cheers.

Hi adi02,

Thanks for this suggestion, we are always looking for ways to improve the Sonos experience, and while we don’t share details of our product roadmap, we do pass on the suggestions we receive to our product teams.
Yes, please include AppleScript support.
BTT!
Any news on this, AppleScript support would be great, especially with Mac TouchBar and BetterTouchTool (BTT) we could create useful controls (playpause /prev track / next track / volume) either from the TouchBar, or using the standard Function keys (even whilst the app is not in focus)

The desktop apps are in legacy mode these days, getting very little attention. Unless AppleScript runs on iOS (pretty sure it does not) its unlikely to get any attention from Sonos. Basic transport control via AppleScript sounds like a pretty easy job for a third party though.
Thank you for the quick response, I am discussing with the developer here https://github.com/Sn0wfreezeDev/MenuBarControllerSonos, so will go down that route. All the best...
