Anyone feels sonos is missing the point of their API

I feel they should open the line-in selection.
We sell crestron and we would suggest buying sonos if they were to open line in selection
any one else like me?

I’m thinking that you should take this up with Crestron. They could support Line-In if they wanted to.
I'm sorry, I don't quite understand what you're saying. I use the line-in on their app for my Play:5 on almost a daily basis. Or do you mean something else, by using the term API?

This still doesn't get me any closer to having a clue what the OP is actually asking for.
He's talking about the UPnP control API. Home Automation vendors use it to integrate Sonos. Third party controllers use it. I'm unsure that it's ever been officially documented (and UPnP is to an extent self-documenting anyway).

Thanks ratty - once again my knowledge is increased thanks to you.
It has been officially documented, as of Aug 30th.

Thanks. I missed that one.

I agree. This simple omission from the API creates a huge hole in my home automation platform. I can't believe this is something users have been asking for for over three years (adding line-in to favorites, or opening it to API) and it's not been added. It can't be that hard to code!

Which API set are you talking about exactly? The UPnP API has supported line-in literally since its existence, and has never changed since I have been using it. Enumeration is simple, playback is simple. If you need details just ask.
