Hi Stefan,

It looks like the Mac Sonos application you are running is of an older version than the rest of your Sonos system. This can cause some of the features in the app to be unavailable. If you are able to update from within the Sonos app, please do so.

If the update option is not available you can find the latest version of the Mac Sonos app here. It may help things along if you uninstall the older version of the application first.
Hi guys, I have the same problem. After updating my sonos app on my mabook air to the lastest version 6.4 in Preferences there is only date and time settings.
I've tried also to download the app and replace the existing app but the same problem occur. How can I fix this problem?

Regards,
Simeon

Have you updated the firmware on the players themselves?

Yes I have updated my Sonos system (Sonos Controller for Mac: From the “Sonos” menu (Mac), “Check for Updates”. )

And now when I check for updates - Your Sonos system is up to date.

I didn't update my App on the Iphone and the options are there but I'm afraid that if I update it they will be gone as in the application in the mac
On your iPhone go to settings-about my Sonos system and post the version numbers of everything back here.

Hey Bad2u, I'd be happy to take a closer look at the system if you'd like to submit a diagnostic and reply back with your confirmation number.

The mobile controllers should be on 6.4.7 or 6.4.8 (iOS).
Hey Ryan, It would be great to have your help. My number is 6676251

Ok, thanks. What's happening is that your Mac is on OS X 10.8.5, the minimum required version for Sonos is now OS X 10.9. So that controller will function right now with limited controls, as described here. The minimum required iOS for your phone is iOS 8 and you're on 8.3 at the moment, so don't worry about that updating, though on the diagnostic it looks like it already has.

The computer can probably upgrade to 10.9 or higher, most 10.8 computers are compatible with that software.
Hey Ryan, thanks for the quick reply. The thing is my mac is working perfect with 10.8.5 so I won't update it, but is it possible to use older version of the app so I can have my prefrences back 🙂 ?

Yes it is. But you will have reduced functionality on that controller

Just to be clear you just leave it as it is. Once you are happy the Mac upgrade is Hunky Dory then upgrade.
