I'd guess that the MacBook is connecting to a different wifi signal than the phone is. Make sure they're all on the same network.
No error message it’s a new MacBook works fine with my iphone

Do you get an error response? Are other devices able to connect? Has this just started happening, and if so have you made any recent changes to the Macbook.
