I would like to be able to manage my music library in one place.

My music library is stored on my Synology NAS. I don't use music streaming services. I use bliss (https://www.blisshq.com/) to manage the library, essentially to add and optimise cover art and resolve any track naming issues. Bliss runs as a background service on the NAS, listening for new content and auto applying cover art and track naming rules automagically.

When I add a new album my workflow is:

1. Rip CD to NAS
2. If I'm anxious to listen straight away, go into bliss and force a rescan
3. I go into the Sonos PC desktop controller and "Update Music Library Now"

It would be fantastic if Sonos Controller would allow me to merge steps 2 and 3.

1. Rip CD to NAS
2. I go into the Sonos PC desktop controller and "Update Music Library Now"

Sonos rescans the music library. If it finds new content it makes a call to a bliss API to apply its rules

Music appears in Sonos Library with cover art applied and trackname issues resolved

Thanks for listening

Just talking from the status quo and from bliss's side, another way would be for bliss to force a rescan on Sonos.

I think there's a few ways of doing this:

Yes, that would work too. Perhaps it's not either / or. After all, a door says "push" or "pul"l depending on which side you're standing. 😃
I also run a NAS for my music library but don't use anything else, such as Bliss, for cataloguing.
I rip the CD to my laptop, tidy up track names, artwork, etc the move the resulting folder to my NAS before using the Sonos PC app to index my Music Library, thus combining your steps 2 & 3.
