Now that I've got a new router (Netgear N300 WNR2200 Wireless Router), the Android & PC controller will not connect when using WiFi, but it does work from the PC when using a wired connection. (I have tried resetting the controller, turning uPnP off, power cycling everything etc.)
My Sonos system has just updated to version 6.4.2 which I now cannot find any documentation / changelog. iOS controller remains on 6.4.1. With hindsight maybe a bit reckless on my part accepting the update but anyone got any info. May be relevant but my Public Beta profile is active but no info there either.
Hello Sonos!!! As someone who owns several rooms full of Sonos I have a question. Let us say I have several rooms playing all at one time. Now I would like to adjust the sound level on one or a few different locations. So I point at and click on the sound slide bar in the top left hand corner and, just for fun, 5 different locations appear. Here is my question or better yet my suggestion. On the next update give us the ability to arrange the different locations by dragging and dropping into a custom order that works for the consumer at the time. Or maybe I have missed something and you are going to tell me it is already possible and I am just lacking in my ability to find the key to make this possible. Thank You.
Hi, i am very happy SONOS user, and I use it very often ! I am also a Beta user because I like to try the latest innovations and give feedback to help make this application the best in his kind. one of the missing options is to program SONOS devices more extend than we have today with the option "Alarm" for example: the possibility to program the next examples: Every Tue from 8am - 12am --> create a group of three SONOS devices ( example dinerroom + TV-room + kitchen ) and play internet Radio after 12 am the created group will deleted and restored to the past configuration of that devices Every Wednesday from 8 am - 16 pm -> create new group of 2 SONOS devices ( example office + TV-room ) and play a playlist and again after 16 pm restore the previous setup. now is not possible to create groups from the alarm options, you can already use created groups. I think it will make a lot of people happy if we could create it from the al
Hi everyone. Is this possible? For example, on an imported playlist from iTunes, is it possible to play the tracks on all but one speaker, and have that one speaker kick on only when specific tracks are played? If so, how do I set this up? Hope this makes sense. Thanks, Max
Newbie here. Looking for some answers, opinions and guidance please. My intention is to rip my music CDs to a Music Only hard drive. This will become my music library to use with Sonos. I am wanting to use the FLAC format. After some research I would like to use EAC. I have downloaded the latest version and used this guide to set it up. https://web.archive.org/web/20141003171404/http://blowfish.be/eac/ I have tested it by downloading 2 different CD 2-3 times. I think I have got it. I will be naming each file folder using this format: Artist-Album. Inside each folder will be the the music tracks labeled Track# - name.flac. The folder hierarchy will be really flat but I think it will work best for searches and for EAC. After I ripped the 2 CD I checked them out with the Sonos app and there was no album art or any of the other information-tags showing. In the Artist - Album folders there were the music tracks and 3 other files. The album art as a JPEG. A log file and a m3u file. Wha
I'd really like to see a universal search in the Desktop controller akin to Sonos' mobile controller counterparts. So many times I'm trying to find a rare album or recording that may only be on one streaming service and I have to search every service individually. Bringing the app in general into line with the design of the mobile apps would be a welcome change for me, but functionally the search is my biggest issue! I know this has been mentioned before but many months ago. I'd love to hear some feedback from Sonos on this one. I suspect that a new controller is on the way?
Comcast just gave me a new router, and now SonosNet is asking for a password on my Android device, which it never did before. My android is set up to allow the SonosNet connection. Any idea how I find or change the password?? I use a bridge connected directly to the router via ethernet.
I have a livingroom with one Sub, one Playbar and two Sonos5 (stereo paired). I would like with a single button change the settings from "musicmode", e g Sonos5 stereo with the Sub TO "tv-mode", e g Playbar, Sub and 2 Sonos5 for the surround. As it is now, I need to setup the Sonos system everytime I need to change this. Frustrating. Is it possible to solve this? Rgds,
It looks as though Sonos will NOT be developing an App for the Windows Phone - which is very disappointing. As they know, Windows is by far the most popular OS on desktops and laptops and I choose to use the Windows phones because of the tight integration with the desktop and laptop and the unique ability to share people directories and calendars which can be read/updated from any Windows device. I'll probably have to abandon my plans to use Sonos in every room... unless someone has first hand knowledge and recommendation for a reliable 3rd Party Phone App that is compatible with Sonos speakers? Does anyone use one?.
I am using an iPhone5s, an iPad mini 4 and have all updated software including Sonos. When I try Trueplay the message I get is that Trueplay is not yet available for these devices. It was available a few months ago before all of the software updates. Any ideas what's going on?
In a room with more than 1 speaker it would be great if you could set up profiles which you can switch between. I'll use my room as an example. I have a home theatre set up with 2 x play 5s, 1 sound bar, 1 subwoofer, and 2 x play 1s. When I am playing the Xbox I'd also like to listen to the radio. In this case I'd like to use the 2x play 1s for the radio and the other speakers for the Xbox. Making that change takes a long time right now but with profiles it would be very easy to do
Heyyy Sonos, this situation is ridiculous....you got the starred playlist from Spotify ordered by added date ascending....so it's not complicate to order this same playlist in the inverse order directly in your app...I think a student in his first year of computer science can do it !!!!!!! Please correct this bug
This is not a full windows 8 platform but will work new surface tablet and Samsung and others plan to use this OS which is not fully windows 8 compatible. It would be very helpful if sonos would support this as the tablet looks promising.
Got really excited when I saw support for multiple..... thinking it would be music libraries. But no, the system still can't handle multiple users / music libraries, and STILL doesn't search Contributing Artists (unlike Andronos on Android and SonoPad / Sonophone on iPad and iPhone. C'mob Sonos, get it sorted. Really and truthfully, how hard can it be?
