Airplay or play from app?

As you know there are many different releases of many albums. I find the SONOS app makes picking the one you actually want difficult. Using Airplay directly from the music app fixes this issue.

Question - does selecting Airplay reduce the quality of playback?

Thanks and for your convenience I will provide some free laugh emojis for this newbie question.

Hi @pcryan5.

Thank you for reaching out to Sonos Community.

I will not reduce the quality of playback because you're playing your album directly from the source which will be your iPhone or iPad.

Let us know if it works. If you need help with any other information, please be sure to let us know.
