Adding sub cuts low end from rear surrounds.

I have a play bar, sub and 2 play 5's for surround. My issue is that when playing music in full range on the surrounds the system cuts bass out of the surrounds when you add the sub and it actually sounds better when the sub is off because the play 5 have a wider range of bass then the sub. The only way to describe it is that when I turn the sub on it pulls frequencies from the play 5 that the sub doesn’t replicate. With the play 5 and no sub the low end seems rounder, fuller, when you turn the sub on it takes out the roundness and fullness and replaces it with lower frequencies that only sound like a thump not the full I guess mid bass that is missing?
There should be an eq option for the sub and the play 5’s or just a toggle that keeps the play 5 in full if you turn the sub on.

Hi there, thank you for your post. This is a great suggestion and I can definitely see the benefit of it. It seems a shame to sacrifice low mids just because a SUB has been added. I will be sure to forward it to the necessary department. Do let us know if you need anything else. Many thanks.
