Spanish internet radio not streaming in UK

Thanks for your response but other friends in London are having the same issue so I think it might be something less localised...

My Spanish internet radio stations are no longer working in the UK.  These include Blue Marlin, Ibiza Sonica, Ibiza Global Radio, Costa Del Mar - Chillout.

All other TuneIn stations from outside the UK seem to be working fine and Ibiza Sonica is steaming fine when you go to their website.

If you search for Ibiza Sonica in the Sonos app it comes up as a Sonos Radio station but won’t play.

 

Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

Same issue for me…. it’s still allows you chose and play it - but nothing happens. One work around for Ibiza Global Radio is to play from their app and then airplay it via Sonos. Not ideal. But a temporary solution ?

Anybody know what the URL for Blue Marlin is?  Mine seems to have stopped working again yet Ibiza global and sonica are both fine?

You follow the instructions here to add a radio station by URL:

If you can find the stream, you’re normally given the option to download the M3U file or something like that. When I opened the M3U for Ibiza Global Radio, the contents look like:

Just take one of the URL’s and change it from HTTPS to HTTP and it should work for you. Added stations appear under Radio by TuneIn > My Radio Stations

Thank you for contacting us regarding this issue. Unfortunately, due to licensing issues, these stations has been geo-restricted out of the UK. We apologize for the inconvenience.  
 

Looks like they did not pay due to a current Covid situation. It is possible to stream from their app via an Airplay To Sonos device (if supported) my Play1 gen one  doesn’t support the Airplay hence Its time to upgrade to gen two.

Im sure they’ll be back sooner or later.

I managed to get these stations to stream by adding MyTuner as a service - they’re all working on there so all good.

I can’t get these working, even using MyTuner. Ibiza Sonica, Ibiza Global Radio, makes me sad.

Great thread and thank you very much for the help setting up Ibiza Sonica main station in my new Sonos.

A question though, I would like to get their different stations in aswell like ‘Sonica Club’ ‘Bless your sound’ ‘SoniCalm’ ‘Where’s the after party’.

Anyone that have recommendations to find these IP adresses?

I found some of the other Sonica station by creating a free myTuner account and linking this service in to Sonos.

Hey Matt!!! 

Exactly the same for me! Around a week of not playing and even disappeared from my favourites! ?!?! Won’t play at all and I’ve tried a few things like the old on/off and even delete and re-find the stations  

 

help needed the same as some quality stations now missing / not playing!!

I’m finding more and more stations being restricted from abroad (Ibiza in this case). Yet I can stream them freely over the internet so TuneIn is becoming irrelevant to me but degrading my Sonos experience.

 

Sonos Radio just seems to be a white label version of TuneIn to me. Has the same problems!

First off the, I don’t think TuneIn are being honest, I installed an app called Simple Radio on my Echo and then asked it to stream Ibiza Global Radio and it did so, without vpn and without issue.

 

So I’m not buying the Geo Block they are claiming is coming from these stations.

 

Has anyone got a working https stream for ibiza global radio ??? Alexa wont allow http streams :(

I had the same problem.  Started when I was trialing the new Sonos S1 beta app.  I contacted the Sonos Beta team at the time and they said they would look in to it but never heard any more.  I contacted TuneIn and got really bad service and a crappy explaination that suggested they hadn’t a clue and didn’t care and I contacted Ibiza Sonica but never heard back!

So it is nice to get confirmation that they have shifted the stations to Premium.  At least I know now! 

I’ve added MyTuner today but don’t seem to be able to sync my MyTuner account to the Sonos app.
I’m going to set up the radio stations direct in the Sonos app as various people have suggested above now if I could work out how to do it!  Can’t find ‘Add radio station option’.
