Hi, My Sonos system comprises round 10 Play:1, several Play:3. All works brilliantly and I love it. Moved over to Sonos Radio and very pleased … apart from one thing.Every 10-14 days alarms stop working first thing - I get the infernal chime instead of Radio 4 at 630am! When I check the app it says radio needs reauthorised. When I click to authorise it all works fine again and stays that way for another period of time before the whole saga starts again. This has now happened maybe 5 or 6 times. Is there any way to make the authorisation permanent? I don’t have this authorise problem with Apple Music or Spotify. It is rather annoying as always appears on a 630am alarm then I need to fiddle around to get Radio 4 for wakeup! If anyone can offer any assistance I would be very grateful. Thanks in advance!Kind regardsAndrew
I just added YouTube music as a service. When I search an artist, YouTube Music is not an option. When I click through the YTM service, the only option I have is my playlists. How do I configure it so it shows up in artist searches, shows “new Releases”, etc? Anyone else have the problem or better yet, a fix to get it fully integrated? Sonos S2.
Hi, Can anyone help me understand how to get Sonos to work properly when trying to fast forward a radio show when I’m listening to catch-up?Everything is good when I click on a show to listen and it will play from start to finish but if I want to skip forward 30 seconds or worse jump forward a few hours I often get nothing. Sometimes I get a spinning wheel and after some time it will skip, most of the time it will fail. I assumed maybe it was something on TuneIn’s side and just gave up months ago, but today I tested and actually it works fine on their website. The problem lies with Sonos, unless its an API issue from TuneIn - can anyone help or will Sonos look into it?Thanks.
I’ve added Apple Music to the Music services in the Sonos app but in some headings in My Music such as albums I get the dreaded message “we’ve run into a problem”. This is for my own Music that I’ve downloaded to Apple Music. Strangely most songs show under Songs, with some greyed out, but no albums show and I get the error message. Playlists direct from Apple Music display and play ok. I’ve tried re-authorising Apple Music, removing it and restarting the iPhone as per other posts on this. None works. I’ve contacted both Sonos and Apple. Each blames the other and can’t offer a solution. It happens on all devices - iOS, macOS and Windows. Has anyone got any other solutions please? Thanks
I have an Ubuntu Linux machine onto which I've collected the music files I want available through Sonos. I don't need a Linux controller; I'm quite happy to use the Sonos app on my phone to control Sonos. I just want Sonos to be able to retrieve those music files from the Linux machine. I've set up a Samba (SMB) share called Music that publishes the directory under which the music is stored. I can browse that directory from other computers on my network. Multiple sources on the Internet say that the following must be present in my smb.conf file for Sonos to be able to access that share: ntlm auth = yes It is, and I've restarted the smb service. Yet Sonos still says it cannot access the share I've configured. What more must I do?
Couple issues. The biggest one is updating my Sonos music library to match iTunes library. Just purchased couple things from iTunes. Did an “Update Music Library” in Sonos - it took a long time to index (only added one album), but when it finished, I can’t find the artist, album anywhere in Sonos library. HELP???One other issue. There are times that I’ve gotten new music and it catalogued perfectly by artist in iTunes but doesn’t show up in Sonos music library by that artist. I’ve usually been able to locate it by looking through albums, compilations, songs, contributing artist, composing artist or sometimes even genre. I’ve never understood why Sonos doesn’t always mirror iTunes library. Any idea why this is?
Recently I am unable to play my Apple Music personal radio station (Adam’s Station). When I click on it I get an error that says We’ve run into a problem Pleast Try again. Every thing else from Apple Music plays fine, even other radio stations. The radio station plays fine if I play it from IOS devices as well. I have tried restarting my songs, resetting the controller, and unlinking and relinking Apple Music, but nothing seems to help. Anyone else having this issue?
In the past week I have started having issues with YouTube Music where I will select a track under an artist, but it won’t let me add it to the queue and it won’t let me skip/scrub - it just plays without making any changes to the queue. It’s also happened when I’ve tried to play a full album, and will just loop one track continuously while scrubbing and skip/back are not available. iOS 14.2.1
All system checks, rebbot, re-connect has been perforemed over and over again. I have a rock solid wifi system and everything worked seamless. Until the app was updated. Running the latest IOS and SONOS software. Whats wrong with the new app. The whole system is just annoying. The only way to use the system is by airplay.
I have changed my music service provider from Deezer to Spotify. When I then use my Sonos system with a playlist I generated on Sonos which has songs added from the old Deezer account to the playlist now won’t play. So question is … is there anyway of updating the playlist so it looks at same song but from my new Spotify account?
Amazon Prime (not Premium) music has just been added to my Sonos. Whenever I select anything to play within the Sonos app I get the message “ Go Unlimited. Listen to this music and tens of millions more....” Following this link takes me to a Premium purchase page. I just want my regular Prime music to workI have tried removing and re-adding the service three times now Thx
HiI split my sonos system in 2.So I now have 2 sonos5 gen1 devices on one s1 app and all the gen2 devices on the s2 app.All good until I try to add music services to the S1 app.Tried to add Amazon and mixcloud. Both services claim to be added succesfully until you return to Sonos S1 app where it indicates that the addition failed. For mixcloud I tried a different account from my s2 account. That also failed. Is it an S1 issue ? Any suggestions on how to resolve.
Keep getting error saying we have encountered an error when trying to play Apple playlist, everything else plays, ie artist, albums but not playlist, was working fine yesterday am the issue started pm and is same today, I have removed and re-added Apple Music and restarted my phone, problem persists
I have used Sonos for several years on 2 locations on 4 different devices and 2 different accounts with no problems together with the danish YouSee-Music streaming service.Suddenly the music stopped and could not be started again.Sonos apps claims that there is no connection to YouSee no matter which account i try. Sonos apps claims, that it cant connect to YouSee and verify accounts. Sonos app says, that I should contact YouSee. Other streaming-services works fine.YouSee says, that it is a Sonos-problem. I can log in and out on YouSee and play music on the YouSee app on the 2 iPhones and on my MacBook Pro with the accounts Sonos cant reachI have afterwords updated the apps on 2 iPhones, 1 iPad and 1 MacBook Pro to Sonos S2 with same result. My conclusion is, that Sonos suddenly from this afternoon won´t communicate with YouSeePlease advice. Best regardsPoul Erik
