I have a My Cloud Home setup and have connected it to the Sonos Desktop Controller on my MacBook Pro. Most of the music files read fine and are in the correct order but one folder is completely out of order. Can anyone suggest what might be the issue and how I can fix it? I am attaching a picture of what I see when I go into the album folder. I have other album folders that have files numbered the exact same way and they read absolutely fine. It’s really starting to drive me up the wall.Any advice would be appreciated.
Hi, I had Amazon Unlimited account which I've now ended. Everytime I now search for music and click on the songs shown I get a message that they are only available through Amazon unlimited. I've deleted Amazon from Sonos, re-linked my account and I'm still getting this issue. Any ideas what else to try?
I had Apple Music added and deleted it because I was having issues with it playing music. When I try to readd the service it just opens my Apple Music app and nothing happens. Things I tried so far is reinstalling the Sonos app, tried adding it through my macOS (not allowed)
I have a Spotify premium family plan and until recently all my devices were able to connect to my Sonos players via Spotify Connect. Now my wife’s phone (iPhone 12 Pro running latest iOS and Spotify app versions) can see my Sonos devices but will not connect once we select one. My phone is fine however. Any ideas?
When I look for albums by a particular artist, I search on the artist and then select ‘Discography’. For some artists the Discography search brings up only a few albums of their albums, even though many more are available through my music streaming service (Deezer). Although I can find these other albums by making other types of search, I do not understand why the Discography search does not list them. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, is there a fix? Hope you can help.
I’m having an issue loading my local iTunes library to my Sonos system. My iTunes library is not in the standard location. Since my local SSD is small my iTunes library is on a remote disc. This works fine within the native Music app on my Mac. But I’m having issues getting the Sonos app to load them.My iTunes library is at:/Volumes/Macintosh Data/Music/iTunesIs that the directory I have Sonos grab from? Or do I use:/Volumes/Macintosh Data/Music/iTunes/iTunes Music?Neither seem to work for me. It is the second one above that iTunes is actually pointed to. All I get in the S2 app when I go to the music library is “No selections are available”. I look under Artists, or Albums, or Genres, you get the idea. Nothing to be found.I don’t know what to try next. I have a lot of Lossless files that I want to play on my Sonos system but this is blocking me from doing so. Only thing I can think of left to try is over-ride the default Music library with an alias to the external location.
Hi, I have discussed with Spotify the fact that you cannot play Spotify provided BBC Podcasts on Sonos speakers. All other podcasts I have tried to play from Spotify work no problem, but with BBC podcasts all Sonos devices are greyed out. This is not unique to me or to Sonos it seems (see the discussion here).Spotify has said they are working the issue, I wondered if Sonos was aware? Is this the BBC controlling where their content is played again, even though this content has been licensed by Spotify?
Good morning, when Google Music went black I changed for a paid subscription with You Tube Music and uploaded my own music. When searching for music in the Sonos S1 app I could choose between Spotify and the music from You Tube Music and my uploads. Since some months You Tube Music doesn’t appear on my searches anymore in the app. The app however tells me that You Tube Music is active in my S1 app. I deleted and restored the You Tube Music connection to my S1 app. , which worked flawless, but whatever I try there is no You Tube Music popping up in my searches!!!!! Please help!!! Many thanks in advance!peter
Setup: 4 old Play3s running S2 software. Added Spotify premium account to Sonos. Choosing Spotify as source for room 1: works.pause stream, choose Spotify as source for room 2: Spotify blocks connection. Now, connection is not possible for both rooms anymore. I have to select another source for room 1, reauth, and maybe then it works again.similar when starting Spotify from app controller on phone 1, then do changes from controller on phone 2: Spotify is blocked.i thought there is just one connection from Sonos to Spotify and no matter which controller is used, it’s referring to this one connection. But obviously sonos can’t handle this… now how does this work? How many connections are made from Sonos to Spotify when using multiple rooms (not simultaneously!, just one active stream at a time) or using multiple controllers? In S1 I did not encounter such issues. Thanks for any hints!
Hi Having more trouble here with a newly bought Sonos One and my projector. Setting my Apple TV to the main speaker (Sonos) has been difficult. It takes several tries to get the sound to work and then sometimes it’s out of sync with my projector. I have to force quit the app I’m using and then try again. Bluetooth doesn’t have these issues so maybe the Airplay 2 isn’t good on Sonos? It also doesn’t do the navigation sounds that I get on Bluetooth. Honestly I bought Sonos because I need a speaker for my projector but the difficulty every time I use the projector and needing five minutes to set the sound to the Sonos is annoying. i can’t get HomeKit to add the speaker. I’ve followed the directions on the Sonos site but it doesn’t work. When I try to add the accessory and direct HomeKit that I don’t have a QR code or a bar code HomeKit still can’t find it. I’ve rebooted the Sonos and tried adding the speaker on two different devices.I’m starting to think maybe I should’ve gotten a Bluetoo
Hi getting frustrated now, this keeps repeatedly happening for no apparent reason at all. Go to play / use apple music via Sonos app on either phone or desktop app i’m told to reauthorise apple music. WHY? On the desktop it just doesn’t work. On the iphone it again doesn’t work - it just spins when i enter password - EVEN THOUGH I AM ALREADY LOGGED INTO MY apple id!!! Can we please just get a fix?? I am quite apple and Sonos savvy but this is just ridiculous. PLEASE HELP. Ive used Sonos since its inception and apple from way back but i must say it is getting very glitchy… let’s hope someone has an answer.
Error message "unable to play 'title of radio station" - the song is not encoded correctly" Appeared this morning, on all TuneIn stations.Other services work fine. The search function in Soundcloud is not working properly. When searching for a track, mix whatever and using the exact name of the track it doesn't come up as a number one result. I have to scroll down like 20-30 tracks before I reach that track I am looking for. This is the case in the Windows controller as in the Android controleer. Funny enough, when searching for that track in the Windows controller it puts the track with the exact name in Italian style. So somehow the app recognizes that this is the track you are looking for. So why doesn't it pop up as a number 1 result? P.S. Every one is complaining for years why we can not search within all music sources at once within the Windows controller. Is it that difficult Sonos?
I’m relatively new to Sonos so I may call things incorrectly. I’m in the US.I am having trouble getting a particular free Sonos Radio station to play consistently. The Spa station can play for days and then one day just will not play at all. I spent several hours this morning off and on trying to get it to play. I can immediately play a different station so I don’t think it is a networking problem and my hardware has not changed in weeks. The only thing I can imagine is that I might be running out of play time but I can’t find any documentation that that is a thing for Sonos Radio or iheartradio on Sonos.Any ideas?
I have been using my Apple TV with my Samsung TV for years just fine. The Apple TV is about 2 years old and the TV is 6 or 7 years old. The sound on the TV is pretty bad, so I recently connecting my Sonos One to the Apple TV via Airplay. It worked well for one movie. But ever since, I get a HDCP error whenever I try to play a movie or show on Netflix, HBO Max, or Amazon (actually, sometimes I will get volume but a blank screen). YouTube TV and YouTube still work fine. I have disconnected the Sonos One and unplugged it; I have also unplugged the Apple TV, reset it, unplugged the TV, switched the HDMI cord to a different port, changed the HDMI cord entirely, and all variations you could imagine. The problem persists. Just a week ago I was having no problems.. Has anybody encountered this? Any ideas how to fix it?
Dear Support, I am facing an issue with Sonos. We have installed new WD My cloud HDD. The issue is that when we share the music from NAS with Sonos its showing an error which is “ Sonos was unable to share the Music folder. I have also follow the all steps which are enclosed in the link.
Most of the time I am unable to access my Sonos playlists on my iOS devices (iPhone and iPad). They are visible sometimes but most of the times the whole section is missing on the ‘My Sonos’ overview page. The Sonos playlists are reliably visible and accessible in the Mac app. It appears to be a problem only present with the iOS versions of the app.Is this a known issue? Is there a solution? It is a bit awkward carrying the MacBook around all the time just in case I want to listen to a playlist.
I just upgraded my home NAS and cannot add the newly created music library share to either the Sonos phone app or Computer program. I have followed all of what I have found thus far related to editing my computers registry and firewall. None of which has worked thus far. Anyone have ideas? Just upgraded to a Synology D220+ NAS, running Win 10 …. Sonos configuration is Playbar and One’s ….
I have two x Sonos One devices. Everything was fine until songs started repeating. Or, sometimes we skip songs. Why? All devices and apps are updated. I am using the Sonos Spotify app. If I use Spotify directly but then try to play through the Sonos, which has always been a fight, nothing happens: the song shows as playing but literally nothing else happens.
