My Sonos 1 has been unstable since my internet modem has recently changed to a pure fibre wifi hub. Very often I can’t access music folder, no Sonos Radio, cannot find Sonos 1 error. I have unplugged hub, turned Sonos on/off, restarting computer each time one of these errors occurred. I have removed and added music folder a few times to get music folder worked until tonight I am seeing this error message “Sonos was unable to add the music folder. Connection is blocked by your computer firewall options.” I checked firewall and Sonos is in enabled to received incoming connections. Restarted computer [imac] a few times and the error persists. Has this got to do with the IP address since the new hub. Any solution or do I have to call tech support?
We have two homes with Sonos equipment. The S2 update, as many of you have noted, has caused issues where we no longer have a functioning solution. We think we understand what needs to happen. We need to downgrade some components that accidently got upgraded and then make sure we have an S1 controller. When we get into the app to start the process, we get in this endless loop of downgrading and then requests to upgrade. We can’t find the process after many attempts. Is there a step by step instruction of what to hit to get through the process so that we have our system back?
My S1 app cannot see my Sonos system after upgrade to iOS 16. I have tried reinstalling the app and turning network permissions on and off, but no matter which of my units (mix of new and old) I try to connect, it doesn’t find them. I had similar issues 1-2 years ago when the app suddenly started working again - after an update to one thing or the other I guess. Also my Sonos Move have stopped appearing in the list of Airplay devices on my phone in other apps.
Successfully removed my bridge Successfully set up the Sonos system on my TP link mesh everything was working well on S1 (thanks Airgetlam) Checked compatibility of my Sonos units with S2. All fine. downloaded and installed S2 on my phone followed the instructions including switching off and on each unit and my router App confirmed all good Everything showing as incompatible in S2 - rooms, all of the Sonos units So nothing works on S2. This is a car crash. What have I done wrong? Does anyone have any thoughts?

Hi, I’m living partly in Switzerland and Thailand. At both locations I’m using Sonos. In Switzerland stands my DS214play with my music collection on.I would like to connect my DSplay214 with the Sonos system in Thailand. I tried several version of possible paths when adding a new music library but it never worked. The music is under the path “DSplay214/music/Charlie’s Musik”How do I have to write this link correctly to get a connection? Thanks for your help.Charlieguzzi (email@example.com)
All of a sudden my AppleTV is unable to connect to a home system consisting of Sonos One SL and Sonos One. Found out I am unable to connect anything over AirPlay. The Sonos is visible as an AirPlay option but not connecting. I can play music using Sonos App on iPhone. But I had to relog to the app and allow it t us Apple Music again as I found myself logged out. What to do? I tried restarting AppleTV but no luck. Turned all off and on again and no luck. Thanks
The problem is minor and just started on its own, I do not play this station, it is not a favorite, nor is it a recommendation.FM Revolution is a station on Tune In that is from Buenos Aries. It is not a favorite, I have never picked or played that station. It’s the same dial # as KINK FM in Portland Oregon which I do listen to. 101.9 fm. That is the only thing in common.Yes, it is still showing up on my Arc playbar in the S2 app as the last thing played. This happens most every day and after the TV had been on.Tune In has no phone service support and have not been helpful via email. I am just not sure why this has happened.
I can see this has been asked a number of times in the past but recently a large number of tracks in my Apple Music Playlists appear to be greyed out on the Sonos App and will not play. They work fine on Apple Music on the phone and my Mac. I have tried removing and adding the account again, I have also reauthorised but neither of these worked, I really want to avoid recreating all of the playlists. I have tried using the online chat but that has been nothing but trouble, the final straw was when I finally got through to an agent they said they would review the case and get back and then after a couple of minutes they had not got back to me and the conversation was automatically ended as it had been idle too long
I have Sonos in two houses (A and B) and separate equipment. I want the two houses with the same app and I have understood this should be working automatically after setup depending on which WiFi I am connected to.But it doesn’t work in the last step and I don’t understand what to do to make it work (and I am also not sure if I have done the first two steps correctly). This is the situation:I have set up a Sonos system in house A using iPhone with Sonos Account A (I have both an iPad and a Macbook there and they also work fine). I have then taken my iPhone to house B and created a Sonos Account B, factory reset my Sonos products there and everything is working fine. When I go back to house A again and connect to that WiFi the Sonos app doesn’t work - what should be done in this last step? Thanks in advance!Klas
Hello everyone in this community.I have uploaded several flac ripped discs to my iBroadcast account but when I play them from the SONOS app, it always gives me the message ['Song Name' could not be played, the song was not encoded correctly]. On the other hand, if I play those same Flac files from the iBroadcast application or I upload them to the Plex server that I have on my local network, then they reproduce without any problem.Anybody knows about this, I have to solve it because I still have some old speakers without airplay and I have no choice but to use the SONOS application with these speakers.
Manage drop down menu: Choose Music Library Settings: Press + Choose “another folder or drive connected to my computer” (as my music is not in “My Music Folder”) Browse: choose folder where my music is : Users/MYNAME/ Dropbox/iTunes Next → SONOS WAS UNABLE TO ADD THE MUSIC FOLDER, ACCESS TO THE SHARED FOLDER IS DENIED - CHECK THE USERNAME AND/OR PASSWORD I read some other posts about this problem, so I already did the following two possible fixes: System Settings: Sharing: and I turned ON File Sharing and Media Sharing System Settings: Privacy & Security: Full Disk Access: +. and I added Sonos, so that it can access data on my Mac. Then I restarted Sonos. Still doesn’t work I'm not sure what to do next. DETAILS OF MY SYSTEMiMac 2019macOS Ventura 13.0.1 Sonos Controller for MacSonos OS : S2Version 14.19
I have a Sonos Amp and two Symfonisks and would like to use Tidal. In the Tidal app, I can see all devices when clicking on the Cast button. When I select the speakers, the cast icon keeps blinking, but it never connects, even for minutes. The issue is the same with 4 different android devices in our household. Our network is a AVM Fritz! Mesh Wlan, but even with all devices in Sonosnet the problem persists. RegardsChris
I always have trouble with my Sonos 2 system when I migrate from my summer cottage to my winter home. My computer travels with me: Dell XPS 15 laptop.Running Windows 11 Home. All Music files are stored on my computer.First, Sonos couldn’t find any songs. So I removed the music folders and tried to add them back with a more detailed path. Now it cannot find my computer so it can’t add the folders. My system is a bit of a mess in that I have music stored under 2 different Users. (That’s a problem for another day.) So I think I need to add 2 Music folders. Why can’t Sonos see my computer? I have the app on my iphone too, but that’s no help. Could Sonos possibly be looking at the wrong wifi network? I cannot see where to check that. Please help--thanks.
