When I try to add Apple Music service in the S1 app (Android 11), I get a blank white screen at the point where it’s supposed to bring up the Apple login page. I tried on two different Android 11 devices. I tried adding other services as an experiment, and they all transfer correctly to the particular service login page at that same point. I asked Sonos support, and they tried some suggestions on Chat and looked at a diagnostic dump, but in the end they were stumped. I’ve successfully connected Apple Music to Sonos before, so it looks to me like a new bug between Sonos and Apple on Android 11.Unfortunately Sonos doesn’t provide any options. The Windows app is not allowed to add Apple Music. Neither is my Amazon Fire tablet running FireOS 7.3 (Android 9). Neither is the S1 app running on Android 7 any more, the device I’ve always used before. And my iOS devices are too old to run the latest S1 app. Update: I tried updating to S2 - didn’t help, same problem.I’m out of ideas. Any suggest
The system was set up and working. Last night I started getting an error message when I tried to launch Spotify from Sonos “unable to add songs to queue”. First I removed the Spotify app from Sonos, and tried to re-add it. And got the error message “unable to add Spotify account”. Then I deleted both apps and their passwords and reinstalled them. And still I get the error message “unable to add Spotify account”. Now I’m completely frustrated. Help please!
I am having problems with apple airplay dropping on my new iPhone. I have several sonos devices, about 14 speakers; they are all airplay compatible. I also have a sonos boost. I have a very large iTunes library and I primarily play music screaming over airplay from this library to the sonos speakers. I also have a apple IPad and I do not see this problem when using this device. I can play music from sonos apps stations without a problem on both devices. When I am starting music on my iPhone playing over airplay I select my speakers they select and play, they all play for a short time, then it starts dropping speakers, a few will continue to play. I go to the airplay speaker selection and they are no longer selected. This also seem to be related to the number of speakers I select to play. I can select them again and they may start playing again or they may not. As I said above, my ipad doesn’t have this problem and they are using the same OS version.Another problem I am see
Apple has recently released a new music app called Apple Classical. It is solely for Classical music and solves the unique challenge of searching for classical music. Here’s a good outline of the service:https://www.wsj.com/articles/apple-music-classical-app-3325c6ba?st=rkiu2rgyqygxozh&reflink=desktopwebshare_permalink I hope Sonos will support this on their app.
A couple of days ago I went to play an album from my Apple Music library though my Sonos Connect, and could not find it. Looking more closely, I noticed that the “Albums” menu item only contains a tiny fraction of my music library - almost everything is missing. “Recently Added” and “Playlists” both look OK, but “Albums” is bad. I see the same on several controllers: Windows, Mac, iPhone, iPad are all the same. Moreover, in the Windows application, when I visit “Albums”, I can browse it for a short time, and then the application terminates (the window just closes with no error message). My library looks perfectly fine in iTunes and the native Apple Music app. I left it a few days in case it was a transient effect but it persists. I have tried removing the Apple Music service from my system and reconnecting it afresh, but this does not help. I probably need a Sonos support case for this but the web site suggests that I try the forum first. I generated diagnostics 641008197 in case
[Soap-box]Every time the Sonos software is updated this happens. The fix is NEVER the same. After spending $2000 on speakers (that work great when the software works) its frustrating to have to do this again…. and again. My Mac is on BigSur 11.0.1I just updated my Sonos:controller: 12.2.2 Build: 61183220Hardware version: 126.96.36.199-1.2 Everything 2 days ago was working fine. Now, the music library (which didnt change locations) will not allow me to add it (dont know why I have to do this on an upgrade anyway) so, while I CAN listen to Pandora, iTunes music is not permissible. What have I done to attempt fix it?1- Turned off firewall (norton 360) - [didnt help]2- Uninstalled norton360 - [didnt help]3- Gave Sonos full disk access permissions [didnt help]4- Revisited Privacy and Security Settings, re-set them [didnt help]5- re-installed Norton and re-associated permissions with app [didnt help]6- Cussed a great deal as now the plesaure of listening to music has now pissed me off [didnt help]
Sorry, NOT playing entire Library Songs. The YTMusic app on Sonos offers to stream my Library’s collection of Songs but only seems to be capturing a very, very small fraction of my entire Songs collection. Is there a way to be sure and get all my Songs shuffled through on the Sono’s app? The ‘Your Mix’ option is misleading as well. It creatively mixes in new ‘recommended’ songs which I’m not interested in so that’s not a solution. I want all my Songs streaming from my LIbrary collection, please, not some limited selection. Thanks, comments please.
A week ago I was able to connect my audible app to Sonos perfectly fine. now there is no little speaker icon that allows you to connect to devices and then select your Sonos speaker. Instead all I see is a little car icon to pop up the driving mode for the audible app. I am running the most current versions of both Sonos and audible. Any input on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated.
All of a sudden this morning my Sonos Radio Stations won’t work. Reset my router. All other service’s work on Sonos - Apple Music and Radio, and TineIn (which is new to pop up on my menu). But cannot connect or play Sonos Radio! Non of the stations work. Cruise control was my go to. What to do. ? did submit a diagnostic report. 1508963402
I am trying to link my premium spotify account to sonos, when I click "authorize", I'm being brought to a page where I'm supposed to enter an authorization link code. The page opens with an error "The link code you entered is not valid. Please check the link code and re-enter it below." There is no link code provided either through the app, the page I'm being linked to, or by email. I've tried using the sonos iOS app as well as the desktop version. Clearly I'm missing something here. Any suggestions?
Dear Sonos team/community,since one of the more recent Sonos Controller updates, the experience when browsing Spotify through the controller application totally changed.Since basically the beginning of (Sonos-)time it has been possible to browse the Spotify catalogue for the featured/highlighted playlists which change throughout the day and the thousands of playlists which are available in the different genre sections. E.g. you could go to genres and choose between rock, electronic, mood playlists, rap and many many more.I used this workflow a lot every day to play exactly the playlists of which genre I want to hear right now. Now, as mentioned, this experience has entirely changed. As far as I can see in the iOS or Windows controller apps, it’s now only possible to browse though folders with playlists which I either recently listened to or which are recommended by the Spotify algorithm.Like I said, this breaks a workflow I (and my entire family) was using for quite a few years already.
Since the switch to Youtube Music (from Google Play Music), has anyone else noticed audio glitches periodically in the music they listen to via Youtube Music in the the Sonos App?Every so often in a song I get a quick static glitch sound. This does not happen with other sources, like Sonos Radio or Bandcamp.
Hello,When using my spotify on Sonos, my music keeps skipping tracks or stopping completely. The strange thing is, if my wife plays the same spotify account on Sonos from her phone, no issue. Only when i press “play” on my phone does the issue occur. If i use “Sonos radio” from my phone, no issue. We have two spotify accounts connected and I have tried toggling between both from my sonos app on my phone without luck.Given the information above, i would think to rule out internet speed/connectivity (since everything works fine on her phone) and also any spotify account issues (since these also work fine from her phone). Thoughts?
We recently had to return our One’s to factory setting after we changed our router and couldn’t re-connect. All is now working, except that Alexa announces a requested song playing from Amazon Music, but then silence. I’ve searched answers on here and tried disconnecting Sonos on the Alexa app and vice versa, then re-connecting but the same thing happens. I’ve checked my Amazon account and Music is there. I can’t think what else to do to solve this.
Within the past week all Sonos and Spotify functions have stopped working on all my iOS devices - iPhone 12 and MacBook Pro.In Sonos any station or music I try to play gives an “unable to connect” message. In Spotify I can see all the devices (speakers; PlayBar, Play 5, Connect) and can play directly on the iPhone or MacBook, but when I try to connect to a device (speaker) it shows “connecting” but never connects.Router has been restarted several times. Both Sonos and Spotify apps have been deleted and reinstalled, all to no effect.Help please? Thank you!
In the last couple of days I have not been able to see my audible audiobooks in the Sonos App (and in the Sonos controller on a mac), when I go to the audible section in the app (I use Audible.co.uk) I just get the message “Could not browse Music” instead of the normal list of audiobooks. Now I tried re-adding the service, that did not solved the problem, I tried to re-authorising my account that did not solve it either. I can see the audiobooks I have added to MYSONOS (the books I listening to right now) and they also show up in the recently played list but I cannot see my entire library in the audible section of the app. Now I do have a lot of audiobooks in my audible library 400+ but I have never been able to use the search function in the Sonos app to find my books (it always just say “an error has occurred try again”) so without the list I am rather unable to find and listen to my audiobooks on my Sonos speakers (Now I do know I can play them through the Audible app via Airp
I’ve been trying to install the Libby service for the last 24 hours with a consistent issue: I kept getting the error message, “unable to browse music.” I keep removing and reading, giving it awhile, then checking. Same result. Any ideas? I’ve tried to unplug speakers and plug back in.
Every day I am receiving the Sonos App errror message on my iPhone of “Unable to play Pandora access is denied”. Each day I have to re-athorize my Pandora account to correct this issue. Can SONOS please tell me why I have to re-authorize every day, this is such a hassle.
Apple acquired Primephonic in 2021 with the intention of using that service as the basic of creating their own music solution aimed specifically at the Classical music genre.I did not pay much attention at the time but I thought this was more for dealing with the enhanced meta data/tag information needed for the Classical music genre. For example the same music title composed by the same original composer may have multiple recordings from many different orchestras over time and with sometimes different conductors, soloists or singers any of which might be specifically looked for by classical music enthusiasts.Well Apple are this month finally launching their new Apple Music Classical app which is the dedicated app for classical music and will be backed up by the current Apple Music streaming service. It will be free to existing Apple Music subscribers.See - https://apps.apple.com/app/id1598433714Initially at least it is only available as an iPhone app and not an iPad or Mac app.The rel
I continually have problems with my Sonos and Amazon Prime Music service. I can play music from my Amazon Prime Music account through the ap and it will play one of my playlists for awhile, then all of a sudden the music will stop. I then get a notification that “…there is missing information with Amazon Music…”.There is nothing wrong with my Amazon Prime Music account, it will play fine off of my kitchen’s Alexa through Sonos while the ap will continue to tell me that there is an issue. I can play music off of the Sirrius station through Sonos with no issues. I can play music off of my computer using the Amazon Prime ap no problem. This issue started a few months back. I have deleted and reinstalled the Amazon Music more than once and it does not help.I spoke with one of the Sonos help personnel earlier today and she told me that the Sonos techs “knew of the issue and that they were working on fixing it”. I have not read that anywhere on the forum. She also directed me to Status
