App Update 31/7/24 v80 05.06 (Android) v806.05 No lossless Apple Music?

Just installed this update.  Couldn't see my system , wanted extra Bluetooth permissions on Android which I didn't allow.  Restarted, system found!However, on both iOS & Android apps Apple Music no longer displays the lossless system.  Moved the track position back & forth a few times, but still no logo.Is this yet another bug in this "update" or are we back to lossy streams from Apple Music?Thanks

how can i revert back to S2?

How do I go back to S2? This new app does not work at all and I am not waiting until Sonos decides to fix it in the coming months. I have read several treads now and @sonos does not seem to give 2 ***** about fixing it or what is doing to the reputation. I have been a loyal customer for decades. But this will make me sell everything I own and go to Apple. Maybe that’s what they want? Can’t believe these companies can just change **** that we pay for, so tired of these companies thinking they have the power to do what they want when it’s us that have to pay the consequences. time to go back to CDs and MP3’s with a good old receive and booming speakers they can’t just one day decide to not make work. Moderator Note: Modified in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct.

New Sonos app disconnects from existing system

I've had a customer's system up and running for over 2 years. We've had problems all along, but nothing like now. The new app will not recognize the existing devices in the app for device selection, however, it sees them in the About System/Sonos System Info section. Even after a complete system reset and new setup, it showed the system for about 5 seconds, then dropped it again. I have spent no less that 15 hours troubleshooting Sonos issues that are due to this new app without compensation, since this is neither my fault or my customer's fault. I've been a Sonos System provider for over 15 years and this is by far the most unreliable and frustrating experience I've ever encountered. With products from Denon/Marantz and others making their way into this realm, and the crazy price increases over the past two years, I would expect more from Sonos. Shame on you for causing these issues, not supporting your custom AV dealers (financially), and not owning up to it when called out for said

Android Widgets

Is there a plan to bring back the Android widget? I strongly dislike having to open the app just to change tracks. I'm not always right next to hardware to do it manually/physically. Also, I detest volume sliders. The music software industry needs to dump them as a whole. My fat fingers are not dexterous enough to adjust the volume a unit at a time. PLEASE change to large toggle + or - symbols or even arrows. And while you are at, work on that awful input lag.Thank you.

Hi I’m trying to set the Sonos app from iOS I’m already signed in the browser and the app says that need update and every time i try to update diverts me to sign out and in and just keep repeating same thing Very annoying Anyone can help, thanks

Sonos S2 App May 24 Update

I appreciate the efforts with new App, but the Home Screen now feels really busy.  I'd like to see more customisable options eg being able to move or change the Search & Browse Bar. I don't like the full width bar above the Room/Playing section. It feels too busy at the bottom now. For me, an always there, Magnifying Glass Symbol next to the Profile and Settings Symbols would suffice.   I was really hoping the new App would introduce more EQ options eg Addition of Mid Range Slider along side Treble and Bass.  I understand some functionality is currently missing that existed in the previous version. I hope to see these options return very soon.

Symfonisk issues after app update

This week our Sonos app at work got updated (iOS 80.01.30) after which all of the Symfonisk bookshelf speakers we have in the building dissappeared from the app.After that I tried factory resetting them and reconnecting them but now I can't even get them to finish setup in the app.It goes past the initial connection phase with the audio pin just fine but after entering the WiFi password it hangs on "connecting”. After this it says it finished connecting but with a sidenote that currently the speaker is not visible in system settings. It then asks me to reboot the speaker and then check system settings again. I have rebooted it multiple times and restarted the entire process multiple times but I keep getting stuck at the same point.Other users with the same issue seem to be helped by using the windows or macos app to update the speakers but for me it says the system is up to date on both windows and mac.Any suggestions? Quite dissapointed in this and we now have 6 unusable speakers.

Siriusxm is not listed as a service in the list that appears when adding services. So I cannot add it as a streaming service. App, sonos port all have latest firmware. As does iphone I am using to add the service. Tried 2 different phones and one ipad with the same result.

Why doesn't the new Sonos App show my system?

I simply cannot use my SONOS system with the new app.If I reset the app, I can see my system (3 x Play 1, 2 x Play 3), but when I log-in, my entire system vanishes. I have never been able to see my SONOS Boost in the new app.After 10 or so attempts yesterday (a combination of re-installing / re-setting the app), I managed to see my system (no Boost) and be logged-in, but guess what happened when I closed the app down? That’s right, the system disappeared again.Please can someone tell me how to revert back the the previous version of the SONOS app?

New wifi. New app. How do I add my Sonos Ones?

I have just had my router replaced. Ending up having to factory reset my pair of Sonos Ones.Now I am trying to add them via the app.  Getting the message that it can’t ad them because they are not connected to my home wifi. How do I add them to my home wi fi?

AIF Support on Mac

Sonos can’t seem to play any of my AIF formatted music files.  Is there a reason for this?  I have a Mac Mini with an M1 processor and Sonos will only play files that are M4a lossy format.  thx,Dan

When using the Sonos App, my Spotify playlists are now in random sequence.

I have one Sonos device: a Sonos One SL.I run the Sonos app on a Windows 10 PC.I keep my Sonos app and firmware up to date. (It is currently on version 16.1)I bought and use my Sonos device to play songs from my Spotify playlists.(The only thing I have in my Sonos Favorites is "Playlists From Spotify".) Before today, my playlists showed up in the sequence I have them organizedon Spotify, so it was easy to find and select which playlists I want to play from.They are now showing up in random sequence. I have around 220 categorized Spotify playlists, and I generally select a differentsubset to listen to in shuffle mode every day. Having that many playlists in randomsequence makes it extremely difficult to find the playlists I want to listen to,and it makes something I use constantly every day almost totally useless. I don't know if this is your problem or Spotify's but I need to get some sort ofresolution.

SiriusXM Sonos service doesn't have all the channels Sirius offers

Has anyone noticed that the SiriusXM “service” added to the Sonos app doesn’t have all of the channels that Sirius offers in it’s own app? Specifically I don’t see any of the several DEEP CUTS channels that Sirius offers.

Why does my Macbook Air operating on OS 12.4 not allow Sonos to access it

I moved all of my data and setting to a new computer, MacBook Air OS 12.4  When I try to manage my music library on Sonos I get a message that the computer MacBook Air will not allow access by Sonos and the Sonos application just freezes. This is very frustrating because on the old machine it worked fine. Can anyone help me?

Songs stop playing at end of songs

I submitted diagnostics, 93086920Same issue as I’ve seen reported several times in other posts (with no definitive answer) - Songs stop playing at end of songs. Continues playing on my Play 1, stops playing on the Connect. Pretty consistent today, goes silent for the last 10-15 seconds (same as reported by numerous other users).I’m playing from the hard drive on my laptop. I have over 38000 songs in the shuffle playlist (which it won’t let me save, I believe I read several years ago that Sonos tries to save the playlist in memory, and there’s not enough memory in the first generation speakers). Therefore, any time the system glitches, it dumps the playlist and I have to reshuffle again (which results in hearing the same songs again sooner than I would like).

Now PC sonos App stopped working

Now PC App stopped connecting. Just asks to update itself, but no new version. Resetting it wont help. reinstall wont help. WebApp works https://support.sonos.com/en/downloads This is absurd. I give up.

SONOS S1 TRUENAS 13

S1 will not play on Truenas 13.  You can see your music however it wont play. Gives you an access denied. Roll back to Truenas 12. Issue resolved.

Sonos will not link back to WDNAS drive following switch to different laptop Plex

Hihave a different win10 laptop so reinstalled Sonos - need Plex as am over the 65000 limithave been trying all options i know but nothing seems to work  have old system so using S1 controller problem 1    Sonos will not connect to WDMirror NAS  will find folder but wont connect wants a password - i have tried the one for  the NAS the folder should not need one but seems to want one !!problem 2     Sonos will recognise Plex and show some of what is on the NAS drive  but wont connect so can play the music as says need remote access - but this has been given  Plex will play the songs via laptop but not via Sonos all help welcomed

My play1 disappeared from my app so I did a factory reset and set up again in the new app. I finish setting up and get the message your play:1 may not appear in system unplug and plug in to complete set up.but this doesn't work. Have tried so many times it's getting very frustrating. What can I do?

sonos play 1

Sonos Play 1 not connecting on either Sonos app.it is on the network and via Alexa app can play no problem. Why can Alexa work it yet Sonos says not found after it identifies the speaker and serial number??!connected with Ethernet cable but had to unplug to move so back to square 1.In set up unable to join Sonos messagetried older app just the same.def connected to Wi-fi network excellent signal tried off and oning everything.During set up identifies play one and serial number but then all else fails.during set up no Sonos Wi-fi ifs generated.used to work fine on the S 2 app now very frustrating and turning me off buying any more sonos products quite frankly as wasting hours trying to set this up again.
