Hello,

I have a unique setup and need to connect 6 speakers (3 pairs) into a single Sonos Amp. I know this is not recommended, but have been told it is possible. Speakers are

  • Frequency: 65Hz - 22kHz
  • Impedance: 4-8 Ohm
  • Power: 250 Watts Rated Peak Power

How can this be wired so that the amp and speakers will not be damaged?

Thanks!

Are there any other options that do not cost $600/pair?

If you wire in the impedance matching volume controls, it will work.  However, overall volume will be reduced.

Here’s a link that should help out here too:

Which speakers could I use to accomplish this? The speakers have not been purchased yet.

The Sonos Sonance speakers sold here allow up to 3 pairs.

The Amp will go into fault mode with 3 pairs of 8 ohms, never mind 3 pairs that can have up to 4 Ohms resistance.

The only possible way is if you wire in impedance matching volume controls on each speaker pair.
