When the battery of the Sonos Roam is dead and we plug it in, it takes a long time before it van connect tot the system. I would expect that such An expensive device would work immediately. Is this normal? If it is, this is a bit of a dissapointment.

The battery level has to pass a certain threshold before the device can boot. I don’t recall the minimum level.

This is not uncommon with such electronic devices.

Yes, it’s the same as any lithium-ion battery powered device, if you let the battery completely discharge, you have to wait a while for it to have sufficient power to boot the computer inside. Your best bet is to switch on the ‘battery saver’ feature in the Roam’s settings in the Sonos App, as it’s less likely you will encounter the issue again… it can keep the Roam in a ready to go state for 70+ days from a fully charged state.
