We are a Sonos dealer and install many Sonos products on a weekly basis. Lately the optical cables that come with the Playbars have issues seating into the optical socket to the point that it just falls out. So we've been getting extra optical cables (non-Sonos) to resolve the issue, and they work fine.
Any insight? Maybe a bad batch of cables were made.

Hi there, JoelP. Thanks for posting. I'm unaware of any problems with the optical cables shipped with the PLAYBAR. Were you able to compare the two cables against each other to see any difference? Thanks!
The only difference that we’ve been able to see is the retainer bump that locks in the cable is much smaller (or smoother) than a cable that works normally.
