Yes it will control home automation like hue just as regular alexa does.
I believe the Sonos One does not have the Zigbee controller in it, so, you would still need the Hue hub. However, if you do, then you can use Alexa commands issued to the Sonos One microphones to control it, assuming you’ve set up both the Sonos and Hue apps to work with Alexa. I use my setup that way 99% of the time.
