Hello ya'll. I purchased two Def Tech aw-6500s and a new sonos amp last month. I will pick up an outdoor TV at the end of the month and hopefully have everything installed by the start of summer. I noticed there were virtually no videos with these speakers and the new amp on you tube, so I made a quick video. see link below (big joy division fan here).

I hope to have the outdoor tv hooked up and dry run everything before installation. Anxious to see how fast the amp can switch from music to tv. debating if I need to add another set of speakers. I'm assuming it will not be as loud or can the amp handle another speaker for a total of 3?

Hi rodog123

Nice video 🆒

Why would want three speakers? If your TV has HDMI-ARC capability or at least optical you'll get a phantom center channel with your Def Tech AW-6500's positioned on either side of the set. I think you'll be find with music but I'm not so sure about TV audio as outdoor speakers are not tuned the same as those intended for indoor use. Then again I could be wrong...which is not beyond the realm of possibility :8

FYI, here's more info on wiring speakers to the Sonos Amp: https://support.sonos.com/s/article/265?language=en_US

To wire 3 speakers you'll probably need a load balancer in between your speakers and the Sonos Amp.

Cheers!
