I have a new Sonos Play 5, which is in the gym extension. My wifi does not go to that area too well, so added a Sonos boost closer to the gym. However, after setting it all up, whenever i go into the gym, the Sonos app defaults to 'You need to be connected to a wifi network' message. How do I test the Boost signal, or see it I am connecting to my network, through it, or if the PLay 5 is connecting to the boost??? This is really frustrating. I am using an iPhone 7+. When i do a WiFi sarch, it just sees my hub, not the boost? I thought Sonos was suposed to 'just work'!! Please help.
Hi, I have the player, sub and connect:amp connected to two B&O speakers in the ceiling. Everything is working but I'd like to make the ceiling speakers surround speakers. I've been trying to follow the instructions for doing so, however when I get to the step where I use the web address with the connect:amp I.P number I get an error message every time. Any idea how to fix this?
Hi all thanks in advance for any help. We are an office and had 2 PLAY:1's playing our office music no problem for the past month or so. Today we added a Playbar for the yet to purchase TV. So we added the Playbar to the system. it all seems to be added an working. In the sonos software I can see all the speakers , can group them , can change volume etc. if I select one devise and start playing music to that device then all good I can hear the music. then I group another device and all good I can hear music from both devices, but then after a minute the speaker I added goes silent. This also happens if I add the playbar. all speakers will go dead but the one I first selected to start the music on will stay playing. So I I set up the playbar to play something and then add the others then after a min the play 1's will go silent. meanwhile they all appear in the software as if all is ok. I have tried unplugging everything and restarting the router but no luck any he
I've got a couple of beautiful Clements Audio Speakers with Ribbon Tweeters that can handle an immense amount of power. I've had them hooked up to a ZP120 and they sounded great, but I recently picked up a 2nd ZP120 and tried using the left channel of one and the right channel of the other to drive the pair of speakers and they literally "came alive". Controlling the volume on them is no problem as long as take the two amps and group them together but when I add them to a larger group, (I've got components and Zones all over the house) it becomes problematic. I need to control left and right independantly. Is there a way to set up 2 Amps as a stereo pair as can be done with a pair of Play 1, 3, or 5s?
I have two Sonos Play 1's. When the 2nd one arrived I connected it to the same room and had them in stereo to see how it sounded. I now need to put them in different rooms. I have turned off the stern pair, but they are both still referred too as kitchen but I want to put one in the kitchen and one in the living room and have different music/radio streams going to them both if I want. How do I separate them
I have a connect amp which has dropped off my network. I attempted to reboot this a few times and although hardwired to my network it does not reappear in the list of players, nor does it appear to obtain an ip address from the router. After a few attempts at simple reboots by switching off, disconnecting power for 30 seconds and then turning it back on, I decided to try a hard reset. When I hold down the mute button and reapply power, the unit flashes white/orange about five times and then returns to solid white. It does not appear to perform the full reset or go to flashing green at any point. Ive tried doing a factory rest both with and without speakers connected, and with/without LAN cable connected. Am I looking at having to replace this amp? Any help much appreciated.
Hi can anyone help me to re-setup my sonos x2 play 1 which are set up as surround with my play bar. I recently had to take them off as needed to change my front room around, the issue is after putting them back i did not check to see if i had put the left and right play 1 correctly. when i first set them up i had to add each speaker by serial number but i think i have mixed them up i feel sometimes the sound is coming from the opposite side when watching movies. is there any way to check with out removing them and adding again. Thank you
Dear all, thank you in advance for any help, My problem is the following: I have a Connect (first device that I set up in my Sonos network) with a line in from my tv. It is hard wired to my modem through a powerline adapter. I use the second ethernet port in the Connect to pass the internet signal on to my TVbox, as the powerline adapter only has 1 output. Next I have two Sonos 1's in the same room (added much later than the Connect). I paired the two 1's as a stereo couple. This works fine for all music, but when I select the TV line-in input, only 1 speaker gives output... After reading this forum, I feel this might either be caused by 1) In the Sonos Controller, somehow I have the connect in a different 'room' as the two Sonos 1's. Only the room with the Connect has a line-in selector drop down. I don't know how to erase this room and, add the connect (including the line-in) to the same room as the two Sonos 1's. Would that solve it? 2) I need to set-up the whole system
Hello. First post. Would appreciate some advice as I'm having difficulty finding anything online about this that isn't excessively technical. I'm streaming tidal via Sonos Connect, Sonlink arcam DAC, Arcam AR29 amp and KEF LS50s and Monitor Audio BXw10 sub with decent quality cables and stands etc. Would the modified Connect make an improvement in sound that would justify the expense?
When iput my ear near the hole of the sub, i listen a little sound like....electricity !. I try to plug the sub alone and the little sound is there to. When i am at 2-3feets of the sub.....no little bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. This little sound is there all time Somebody has the same little sound inside his sub ??????? Thanks and sorry for my bad english
So in a remote room (lots of metal, lots of glass), the SONOS 5 intermittently drop. I have a sub in the room - linked by Ethernet. The Sub continues and I get a nice bass line when the 5 drops. Any ideas gratefully received. (BTW: I find it hard to get support from Sonos - can't call during the week and I can't easily find the page to opening a support ticket. It must be there, but its almost as if they are discouraging contact!)
CONNECT -> 5.1 (P Elite) stereo. I have no easy way to get speaker wire from the front of the room to the back. For music played through Sonos Connect, is it possible for L,C,R & sub to go through the receiver, and rear L&R to go from Connect to Sonos1s in the back of the room? Thanks.
