I have 6 Sonos Connect:Amps which now crash my internet when I connect them to my switch that is connected to a Virgin SH3. I have had the network working with a SH3 for over a year, but this problem happened recently and I'venow changed the switch and the Virgin SH3 and the same problem occurs. I have connected 1 Connect:Amp to the network without it crashing and the other Connect:amps connect via wireless and work OK, but the Connect:amp furest away from the others cannot pick up a signal and cannot be connected tot he wired network.
I'm new to wireless listening. Please help. We listen to Sirius XM in 3 rooms in my dental office, and recently scrapped the 3 antennae (and the subscriptions) we were using for them (big reception problems). I just signed on for one XM account with internet access, and I'd to use it to continue having XM in those 3 rooms. I room One, I'd like to buy a SONOS PLAY:1 and stream XM through a tablet, but for the other two rooms they already have built-in speakers I'd like to keep using. What to do? Buy two blue-tooth enabled receivers and two tablets for them?
Hi all, I have two Play 1 + Connect: Amp + a Rega P1 Turntable. When I play my speakers from spotify, bandcamp, etc from my phone or laptop the sound is great with no issues. But, when I play my turntable there is a high sound that comes and goes. Dont know how to describe it so here is a video. My only guess is that the problem comes from the Connect:Amp cause my two Play 1 works just fine when playing from my phone. Also I tried another turntable (Audio Technica), but the problem did not go away. Sonos gave me the choice to change the ConnectAmp for free. But I live in Chile and I bought it in NY - so not an option. Anyone know what is this?
I have a Gen 1 Play 1 that I would like to use for my projector speaker outside. I thought I had set it up correctly but could not get any sound. I looked in the S1 app and saw that after I disconnected it there were some settings for the Line-in. Didn’t realize I still had to control things from the app. Can anyone give me some insight on how to set it on app so it runs through. Using HDMI to converter with reverse splitter to bring audio to one for the Line-in. The switch on the converter is 2.1 (otherwise there is a 5.0) option and my wifi does reach out to the yard where it is.. Your help is appreciated, thank you in advance.
I currently have a player , a sub and two play 1’s I am looking to add a turntable to my system but am unclear on how best to do that and hear the output of the turntable to my current speakers. if I add a play5 for inline for the turn table will the output be heard on all the other speakers?
Found out that my Connect:AMP is dead after 3 years. Was told by support that “It happens” when something is “always on”. I can’t help but wonder what will die next. I’m looking for alternatives to the Connect:AMP from another vendor that stands behind their products better than Sonos. Does anyone have any suggestions?Thank you!
I have 2 Play 1’s and move them around the house quite often and don’t want to have to dig the wall plug out from behind furniture all the time etc. Is there a quick release base that can be bought? Also the power plug is really tight in the Sonos 1 pulling it out often will cause damage. A quick release base like what i am asking about above might save a lot of repairs????
Lost power at my house and all of my Sonos speakers came back up except for the playbar. Light is powered on. I've tried disconnecting and reinstalling but can't seem to get it to work. Also on my app all my other speakers show up including the sub it was paired with but not the playbar. Any thoughts?
I have a room with a TV surround sound system. So playbase, sub and two rear play one speakers.I now want to add a project debut esprit sonos edition turntable which comes with a built in phono pre amp.My question is how best to connect it to this system. I could buy a Sonos 5 speaker which would connect directly and then link by WiFi. However is there a better way? And would having a Sonos 5 in this room disrupt my TV surround sound system or improve it?
Hi , I wondered if you could help please. I have a number of Sonos products and have recently brought a Port to play Vinyl from my Radiogram to my Sonos speakers. In another room of the house I have another Radiogram that I would like to play through my Sonos. I dont want to spend the £399 for another Port. I am looking at the possibility of buying a brand new connect currently at £259 , but fear that the connect will become a legacy product within the next few weeks. If this is the case , should I purchase the new connect, go for a used connect off ebay or am i forced to spend the additional £140 and go for another port. Just about to press the button , so any information would be gratefully received. Many thanks Harvey
Hi Everyone, I'm planning to purchase one of the gramophones from Sonos store (probably Pro-Ject T1 Phono SB) and would like to connect it with my sonos system environment. What do I need to successfully connect the gramophone to sonos system? I’m a bit confused about the Amp, Port, Connect i Connect:Amp. Thanks!
Hello all,I’m looking to improve the sound in my golf simulator room by using some of my spare Sonos play 1 speakers which I was hoping to link to my Denon 3700H AVR. I would be obliged if someone could take a look at the connections on the back of the AVR and advise whether this can be connected to a Sonos Port or similar and indeed how I would do so? Many thanks in advance.
My outdoor speakers (Yamaha 135w) are currently driven by a ZP100, which in a few weeks will be obsolete unless I want to freeze at S1. I’m looking to get a port and an external amplifier that can drive 4 speakers,as I want to add another couple speakers. It’s all the same space, so I only need one Zone, so a single port and a 4 channel amplifier will do the trick nicely Before anyone suggests it, I have no interest in a Sonos Amp - I just don’t like the product, and I think I’d rather spend that extra $200 on separate component. Anyone have good experience with this setup and can recommend an amp? I see a lot of 100w Class D’s on amazon with decent reviews.
HiJust bought a Pro-Ject T1 Phono SB to go with my Sonos in the house.I plugged it into my Play5 and it sounds pretty good but I get a low boom distortion at higher volume. The volume on the line in is at max and I’ve checked the connections. Is this showing the limits of the pre amp on the Pro-Ject T1 Phono SB? If so can I improve the sound using another stand alone pre- amp? Many thanks in advanceNNW64
