Digital output format on Connect - compatible with Neumann Sub?

Hi,

I am using a Sonos Connect with my studio monitors.

I would like to buy a Neumann KH750 subwoofer and connect directly the digital output of the Connect to the KH750 digital input.

I read that :

“The KH 750 DSP subwoofer only supports non-encoded AES3 and S/P-DIF signals. Encoded signals such as MP3, DTS or Dolby Digital are not supported.”

I would like to know if Spotify + Connect will work ?

Hi @klangfilm, welcome to the Sonos Community!

The outputs on the Connect are not really designed for use with a Sub - while it’s possible that this setup would work, however if it didn’t there’s limited support that we at Sonos would be able to provide.

Perhaps some other members of the community will be able to offer their advice :)
