Delay in sound using 2 zones - 1 with AMP DENON AVRx3700h

I have an AMP connected to a zone (dining room) and a PORT connected to my DENON AVR-X3700H receiver that I use on the optical CD input.

When I use my 2 zones simultaneously (PORT  with DENON AVR + AMP), the sound of the DENON comes out a few milliseconds later.  I had a KENWOOD amp until a few days ago and I never had this problem.  Has anyone had this problem?

Can I adjust this parameter in SONOS? I don't see how to do it in DENON

I assume that you are Grouping the SONOS players.

Some AVR’s ‘process’ the inputs by default and this processing introduces some latency. Check to see if the DENON has an option to bypass any digital processing. Unfortunately, this may also defeat tone controls.

This is generally an issue with AV receivers but not hifi Amps.  Was the Kenwood a Hifi amp?

Your Sonos devices are currently synching perfectly. The delay is in the AVR.

Had just that issue with both my Denon and Yahama AVRs.

Switching off the internal AVR sound processing got all back in sync.

This option is sometimes called “Direct”.
