Can i connect an sonos connect amp to my dvd player to listen cd's?
is the above possible to add a means of adding a cd port to a sonos system?

CD port - you mean audio in. Connect, Connect:Amp, Play:5, Sonos Amp all have them.

By the way - rip your CDs - worth every second of time and ditch the CD player.
By the way, if you want yo add a CD player, do it.
Whilst ripping your CDs does add to the convenience, if you enjoy the physical experience of collecting and owning, then Sonos makes this possible with the Connect and Connect Amp.
Sonos is about allowing people to do what they want with their audio equipment- its not just about streaming, ripping, Spotify and the like.
If your minimalist by all means rip- but its not the only solution. It's faceless and definitely not a solution for everyone.
