Sonos Repairs for Playbar Optical

Hi All,  Recently my PlayBar Optic-in port flap broke so the optic cable no longer remains seated. The slightest move unseats the cable and impacts the sound. Connecting with the Sonos support team identified that the only approach to repairs was for a replacement @ 30% off the cost price.

For a PlayBar a $700 AU price-tag for repair is quite steep. Are there any alternate options available for repairs or at least a realistic replacement approach. I suppose when I invested in Sonos I thought there was a sound repair process in place for products rather than replacement = new with a really average new device discount process. Doesn’t really fill me with confidence in further Sonos investments…
