With the Play:5s 1st gen soon receiving a decreased level of support, I was wondering whether other products are on a roadmap to be discontinued. I have a pair of Play3s and a Playbar, hence the question.

Would anyone know? Thx.

In recent Sonos announcements, they have given some guarantees/reassurance that the 'customer support' for a product will be for a minimum period of 5 years after the product has ceased manufacture and is therefore no longer for general sale at Sonos.com.

In practice however, Sonos have provided a lot longer support than that period, for a good many of their devices, far more than double the period in fact. Even then, these (now called) 'legacy' players still work today and apparently will continue to receive updates to help provide them with improved security features. The aim is to keep the devices running with all the features that they have now for as long as it remains practicable for Sonos (or 'partners') to do so.

Hope that assists. 👍
